As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of Pokémon TCG experience under my belt, I can’t help but get excited about the latest leaks for the Pokémon TCG Pocket game! The rumored addition of a new Poke Flute and Pikachu card has me reminiscing about my childhood days spent collecting cards and battling friends.
A recent leak from the Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket edition has surfaced, showcasing two new cards: a Pikachu card and a Poke Flute card. The Pokemon TCG Pocket collection, launched with over 200 cards, allows players to accumulate them by either opening booster packs or participating in special, time-limited events.
In the mobile game Genetic Apex, the initial expansion is made up of booster packs. These packs contain a variety of items, from standard cards to full-art ones and the highly sought-after Pokemon ex cards. By joining special, time-limited events, players can obtain cards with unique illustrations and distinctive marks, making each acquisition special. It’s recently been revealed that there will be more for players to collect in the near future.
A leak from the Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket edition has disclosed that fresh cards featuring a new Poke Flute and Pikachu will be added to the game. This intel originates from a video uploaded by YouTube channel PokecaCH, which discussed the cards that have already been confirmed for the game. At the 2 minute and 58 second mark, they unveil the Poke Flute card, an item deeply rooted in Pokemon history, enabling players to resurrect a fundamental creature from their adversary’s discarded pile and return it to their own playing field. This card is well-recognized by fans due to its initial release in 1999 as part of the first expansion for the Pokemon Trading Card Game.
Poke Flute and New Pikachu Card on the Way for Pokemon TCG Pocket
At approximately 2 minutes and 27 seconds, the game unveils the Pikachu card, marking the seventh one centered around the franchise’s mascot. This card will operate in a manner similar to the immersive Pikachu card, enabling players to inflict ten times more damage for every Electric-type Pokémon creature they have on their playing field. The artwork of this mobile game version is reminiscent of a card from 2000, released with the Neo Genesis expansion – the primary set in the Neo Series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game and the first to showcase Generation 2 creatures.
Although no definitive release date has been given for the Poke Flute card in the game, it’s expected to debut in the forthcoming expansion of the Pokémon TCG titled “Mythical Island Pocket”. A sneak peek of a new Pikachu card was shown during the announcement trailer for this expansion, but we didn’t get a clear view of it. Moreover, players can anticipate over 80 fresh cards joining the mix, such as strong Mew and Aerodactyl ex cards, trainers like Blue and Leaf, and Generation 7 Pokémon like Dhelmise, Morelull, and Marshadow.
