The Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket app is getting a major update with the release of the ‘Mega Rising’ set. Following a smaller release, this is a complete set of new cards, launching in late October 2025.
The Deluxe Pack was a welcome addition, giving us a lot of cards we’d been wanting. While many of the cards were reprints, that’s okay because it allowed us to collect enough Pack Hourglasses to spend on Mega Rising, and we’re excited to do so!
Mega Rising Expansion Coming To Pokémon TCG Pocket On October 30
We had a pretty good idea of what was coming in the new Pokémon TCG set, Pocket Mega Rising, thanks to early information. But it’s still exciting to see it officially announced! Players who use the Pocket format might want to consider updating their strategies and decks.
The likes of Mega Gyarados ex, Mega Blaziken ex, and Mega Altaria ex, are going to cause havoc.
These powerful cards have high HP and strong attacks, but there’s a big risk: if your Mega Pokémon is defeated, your opponent instantly wins, and it counts as 3 points against you.
Things are about to shift in the Pokémon TCG collecting world! The new set, Mega Rising, releases on October 30th, and because it’s a large set, we anticipate a huge number of cards to find and collect.
