The team behind Pokemon TCG Pocket is preparing to release a new set of cards called Fantastical Parade on January 28th at 5pm PST. This expansion will continue the trend of introducing new Mega Evolution Pokemon EX cards. A recent trailer revealed that Grass-type Teal Mask Ogerpon EX, Psychic-type Mega Gardevoir EX, and Steel-type Mega Mawile EX will all be included. Ogerpon has an ability called Soothing Wind that shields Pokemon with attached energy from status conditions, Gardevoir’s Fantasia Force attack deals 110 damage and lets you add three energy to any Psychic Pokemon, and Mawile’s Heat-Up Crunch starts at 60 damage, increasing by 30 each turn it remains in play.
The trailer revealed a lot more than just a few cards. New cards were also shown for Pokemon like Oricorio, Vanillite, Falinks, Ledian, Pumpkaboo, Meloetta, and Galarian Obstagoon. We’ll also see a new, powerful EX version of Mimikyu. Pokemon TCG Pocket will include at least three new supporter cards. Diantha can heal a massive 90 damage from Psychic Pokemon with enough energy, but using her ability requires discarding two energy. Piers allows players to remove two energy from their opponent’s active Pokemon, but only while Galarian Obstagoon is in play. Finally, Sightseer helps build up your bench by letting you play any basic Pokemon found among the top four cards of your deck.

We’re improving the card trading system with a messaging feature, letting players share what they’re looking for in trades – like specific cards or cards in a certain language. Also, players who enjoy battling the computer will find a new challenge: a randomized deck that remains hidden until the battle starts!

Looks like we’ve got special missions running from January 29th to April 26th where we can snag a seriously strong deck featuring Mega Blaziken EX and Entei EX, plus some cool trainer cards like Copycat and Giant Cape. If you’re a solo player, there’s a Mega Medicham EX Drop Event with new Promo Pack prizes from February 11th to 21st. And for even more goodies, the next Pokemon TCG Pocket Wonder Pick event is happening February 14th-24th, and they’re giving out Cinderace and Alolan Vulpix Promo Cards as bonuses. Pretty hyped for all of this!
