Wow, can you believe it’s already been a year since Pokémon TCG Pocket came out? As a fan, I’ve really been enjoying it – it’s done a fantastic job of recreating that feeling of buying packs, collecting cards, and even trading with others, all on my phone. And it sounds like they’re making some big updates to celebrate its first anniversary, which is awesome!
Pokémon TCG Pocket offers a more affordable way to enjoy collecting Pokémon cards compared to physical cards. It’s become quite popular and profitable, with new sets and features added frequently. Although some players have mixed feelings about the Deluxe Pack ex, the developers are already working on future updates.
Pokémon TCG Pocket Updating Trading & Wonder Picks

As a big fan of Pokémon TCG Pocket, I’m so excited about all the changes coming for its first anniversary! They’re adding a Share feature, making trading even better, and improving Wonder Picks – it’s going to be awesome!
The new Share feature lets you send a friend a card—with a rarity of one to four Diamonds—once per day. It’s a simple way to help each other complete your collections more quickly.
We’ve also updated the cards you can trade. Now, you’ll be able to trade cards from the newest booster packs, and there are no longer any limits based on how rare the cards are.
The game will allow you to trade the following rarities:
- One-Diamond
- Two-Diamond
- Three-Diamond
- Four-Diamond
- One-Star
- Two-Star
- One-Shiny
- Two-Shiny
The Wonder Pick feature is finally receiving a significant update. Since the game launched, the only real improvement was the occasional Sneak Peek bonus, which doesn’t trigger very often.
The official Pokémon TCG Pocket channel announced that Wonder Pick will prioritize showing cards from the newest expansion that you haven’t collected yet. It will also show how many of each card you already have directly on the card itself.
The announcement doesn’t mention when these new features will be released, so we’ll just have to wait for more information.
Nice little explainer video to talk about the updates!

Keep an eye on Pocket – reports suggest that Mega Evolutions will be added to the Pokémon TCG Pocket app later this year.
