It boasts an impressive collection of 244 fresh cards, one of which is a standout: 83 cards linked to Team Rocket, initially unveiled in Japan as part of the Glory of Team Rocket set, now accessible in the West. Additionally, “Destined Rivals” includes cards showcasing popular characters such as Cynthia, Ethan, and Misty along with their respective Pokemon companions. To aid Pokemon TCG enthusiasts, a novel table has been introduced, providing details about this latest expansion.
TCG Player recently revealed the drop rates for the Pokemon TCG Destined Rivals expansion following the inspection of over 8,000 booster packs. The site indicates that fans will find a double rare card approximately once every 5 times they open a pack, with about one out of 86 chances of getting a specific double rare among the 17 available in Destined Rivals, such as Marnie’s Grimmsnarl ex and Ethan’s Ho-Oh ex. The odds of uncovering any ultra rare card are around 1/16, and the likelihood of finding a particular ultra rare is about 1/344. Destined Rivals boasts 22 ultra rare cards in total, with 14 being Pokemon ex like Cynthia’s Garchomp, and eight full art Trainer cards, including Team Rocket’s Giovanni.
Pokemon TCG Reveals the Odds of Pulling Cards from the Destined Rivals Set
Fans of the Pokemon Trading Card Game have approximately a 1 in 12 chance of acquiring any rare illustration card, and about a 1 in 278 chance of getting a specific one. The set includes 23 cards of this rarity, such as Shaymin and Misty’s Psyduck. To obtain a special illustration rare card, the chances are roughly 1 in 94, with a 1 in 1033 chance of pulling a particular one. The set features 11 cards of this rarity, including Team Rocket’s Mewtwo ex. The most coveted cards in Destined Rivals are the hyper rares, where fans have approximately a 1 in 149 chance of getting any card and a 1 in 894 chance of getting a specific one. These cards have gold frames, and Team Rocket’s Crobat ex is one of the six hyper rare cards available.
