The Pokémon Company has registered the name ‘Celebration Collection’ as a trademark in Japan, using the English phrase just like they’ve done with other Pokémon set names.
In 2026, Pokémon will celebrate its 30th anniversary. To commemorate this milestone, a special Pokémon Trading Card Game set is planned, and details about its name have recently been revealed.
Celebration Collection Trademarked by Pokémon
Pokebeach discovered a trademark for “Celebration Collection,” which likely points to a new Pokémon set releasing around the middle of 2026. It seems this set might be similar in style to the “Celebrations” set that came out in 2021.
The Pokémon Trading Card Game’s Celebrations set included special cards marking the 25th anniversary, as well as reprints of beloved classic cards like Charizard, Blastoise, and Venusaur – all featuring the anniversary stamp.
We don’t know for sure if they’ll do the same thing in 2026, but Pokémon usually releases a special set to celebrate big anniversaries, so we can expect something similar.
To celebrate Pokémon’s 20th anniversary in 2016, the Trading Card Game released the Generations set and a special reprint of the very first Base Set, called XY Evolutions. They also created promotional cards with a 20th anniversary stamp.
There’s no confirmed release date for the Celebration Collection yet. However, based on the usual schedule for the trading card game, it will probably be released in English around mid-2026 as the second holiday-themed set of the year, after the Ascended Heroes set.
The Pokémon TCG will launch in Japan as usual, but before the special Celebration Collection arrives, several other sets are planned. Recent trademarks suggest these will include Munikis Zero, Ninja Spinner, Storm Emeralda, and Abyss Eye, and they’re expected to feature popular Pokémon like Mega Zygarde, Mega Greninja, Mega Rayquaza, and Darkrai.
