Pokopia Player Builds Functional Apartment Complex in the Game

A skilled player of the game Pokemon Scarlet and Violet has constructed a fully working apartment building within the game. They’ve used creative techniques to make it functional, allowing Pokemon to inhabit the space, and are now seeking feedback from the Pokopia community on how to make it even better.

Pokopia is a life simulation game from the Pokemon franchise, similar to Animal Crossing. It received very positive reviews when it launched earlier this year, earning an average score of 90 from top critics on OpenCritic. This positive buzz quickly led to strong sales – over 2.2 million copies were sold in the first few days, and sales have continued to climb since then.

This Pokopia Apartment Complex is Actually Functional

I was absolutely blown away by this incredible Pokopia build I saw on Reddit from user Due-Silver-2930! It’s a full-on apartment complex, with multiple floors that actually work, designed to house Pokemon. Seriously, the pictures of the outside are amazing – you can really see how much effort and detail they put into it. They even built a pool for the Pokemon to hang out in! It looks just as good on the inside, though it was a little tricky to photograph, according to the creator. They’re planning on working on the rooftop next, and are asking for suggestions on how to make it even better, so definitely check out the thread if you have any ideas!

So, I built this house out of mostly bricks and volcanic ash. I really wanted a dark grey color to make the black details pop, and honestly, volcanic ash was the perfect shade after trying a ton of different blocks. Someone asked how I got all the rooms to actually count as a house for my Pokémon, and it was kinda tricky. I started by making all the livable spaces 10×10 with doors, then stacked them on top of each other. I added the elevator room to the side and built the main structure around that. The hardest part was the room above the ‘lobby’ – I ended up just hiding a bunch of habitats in there so my Pokémon would still recognize it as a place to live!

Pokopia lets players build and share anything they can imagine, and the creations we’ve seen so far have been amazing. One player recently built an entire church dedicated to the Pokémon Ditto – it’s as cool as it sounds! As people get more comfortable with Pokopia’s tools, we expect to see even more incredible things built within the game.
