Pokopia Player Builds Perfect Replica of Ash Ketchum’s House

A player of the new game, Pokemon Pokopia, has built a remarkably detailed recreation of Ash Ketchum’s house from the Pokemon animated series. Pokemon Pokopia, released in early March, has become incredibly popular, selling over 2.2 million copies in just a few days. Players have been enthusiastically using the game’s building tools to create amazing structures and share them online. While the game includes references to other Pokemon titles, many fans are adding their own personal touches and nods to the broader Pokemon universe through their creations.

Pokemon Pokopia is filled with references to the original Pokemon games, like a deserted Team Rocket hideout and pieces of the S.S. Anne. Many of Ditto’s costumes and hairstyles also cleverly resemble characters like Ethan, Leaf, and Red. However, one well-known Pokemon hero absent from Pokopia is Ash Ketchum. Despite being originally from the animated series, Ash remains a popular character with players. One dedicated Pokopia fan showed their appreciation for Ash by rebuilding his house within the game.

A Reddit user named LeslieLevi has meticulously recreated Ash Ketchum’s childhood home from Pokemon within the game Pokopia. The build is remarkably accurate to the anime series, with LeslieLevi using screenshots as references for incredible detail, even including the inside of Ash’s bedroom. The house features a complete garden, realistic roof tiles, and charming dormer windows. Inside Ash’s room, you can even spot familiar items like his calendar, laptop, and TV. While some rooms, like the kitchen and living room, were decorated with a little creative freedom since they aren’t fully shown in the anime, the overall effect is stunning. LeslieLevi also shared that their Ditto is named “Red,” a nod to the player character from the main Pokemon games, and since Ash Ketchum is inspired by Red, building his house felt like the perfect base for their Cloud Island.

As a huge Pokopia fan, I’m really excited about the multiplayer options! Cloud Islands lets up to four friends build and create together in a totally separate world, and you can even open it up for anyone to visit. But that’s not all – the Palette Town area has this cool feature called GameShare. It lets other Nintendo Switch owners – even if they don’t own Pokopia themselves – join in and play with you! It’s perfect because Palette Town is Ash Ketchum’s hometown, so I’m already planning on building all his classic locations!

So, Pokemon Pokopia has been out for about a month now, and honestly, everyone’s still super into it! They already had a cool event right after launch with Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff. Now they’ve announced an April Fool’s event, but it’s a bit different – instead of catching new Pokemon, we’re getting an inflatable Sudowoodo decoration for our space! The developers have said they’re working on making the game even better, so hopefully, we’ll see more awesome events like this in future updates.
