Albion Online, the popular MMORPG from Sandbox Interactive, is coming to Xbox consoles in Spring 2026. This will be the first time the game is available on a home console, as it’s currently playable on PC and mobile.
Released in July 2017, Albion Online is a medieval fantasy MMORPG drawing inspiration from Arthurian legends. Despite sharing a name with the world of the Fable games, it’s a completely separate title. A unique feature of Albion Online is its class system: players don’t pick a class at the start, but can change roles whenever they want simply by equipping different gear. Even after nearly a decade, the game remains popular. SteamDB reports a 24-hour peak of over 12,000 players, which is about half the peak for Final Fantasy 14 but double that of Star Wars: The Old Republic.
