Power Rangers: 10 Strongest Female Rangers, Ranked

The Power Rangers are a hugely popular superhero team. Each team usually has between three and five members, and each Ranger brings a special skill or quality to the group. Over the years, many strong female characters have been part of the Power Rangers, with some even becoming team leaders. For example, Lauren Shiba was specifically trained from birth to become the Red Samurai Ranger.

With Syd Drew’s power to control objects and Katie Walker’s amazing strength, the Rangers have some incredibly powerful women. While strength isn’t the only important quality, many candidates are impressively strong – some can even lift cars! However, a few female Rangers stand out as particularly strong compared to the others.

10. Fern Is the Only Official Orange Power Ranger

Power Rangers: Cosmic Fury

Fern is unique in Power Rangers history as the first official Orange Ranger. Although she appears with the team in Cosmic Fury, she quickly develops a strong rivalry with Izzy Garcia, even without the connection to the Dino Fury season. This rivalry eventually blossoms into a compelling romance, becoming a standout subplot in the latest Power Rangers series. As the Orange Ranger, Fern is particularly recognized for her exceptional reflexes, which she frequently demonstrates in battle.

Even though she’s human, Fern holds her own against the more powerful and seasoned members of her team. She consistently wins battles against opponents she shouldn’t be able to beat. Her Scorpion Zord also stands out with its unique design. It’s a shame she doesn’t appear as much as some of the other popular Rangers.

9. Kendrix Morgan Makes the Ultimate Sacrifice to Save the Universe

Power Rangers: Lost Galaxy

Throughout the history of the Power Rangers, many women have served with intelligence and skill, but very few have demonstrated the wisdom and bravery to make the ultimate sacrifice. Only a small number of Rangers have died in service, and Kendrix is unique in that she willingly gave her life to destroy the Savage Sword and save the Space and Galaxy Rangers. Beyond her heroic sacrifice, she was renowned for her sharp intellect and strategic thinking.

Karone eventually becomes the Pink Galaxy Ranger, and her impact remains even after she seemingly dies. She appears as a spirit a few times before ultimately leaving the series. While some fans believe Karone was a better Pink Ranger, Kendrix truly saved the galaxy through her selfless sacrifice. Karone may have been physically stronger, but Kendrix will always be remembered for her incredible bravery.

8. Kimberly Hart Set the Precedent For Every Pink Ranger to Follow Her

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers

Kimberly Hart was the original Pink Ranger, and she really defined the role for all the Pink Rangers who came after her. A talented gymnast, she eventually left the Power Rangers to focus on her gymnastics training. Kim was a skilled fighter, incorporating her acrobatic abilities into her fighting style, much like Zack Taylor, the Black Ranger. While others have played the Mighty Morphing Pink Ranger, Kimberly set a high standard that’s been hard to beat.

As the Pink Ranger, she pilots several speedy Zords and wields a powerful bow, making her an incredibly accurate fighter. Later, after Katherine Hillard takes on the role of the Pink Zeo Ranger, she returns to being the Mighty Morphin Pink Ranger and develops her own unique style.

7. Lauren Shiba Was Born to Be the Red Samurai Ranger

Power Rangers: Samurai

Lauren Shiba spent her whole life preparing to become the Samurai Power Ranger leader. Initially, her brother took on the leadership role so she could concentrate on mastering a special sealing technique. However, she steps up to lead when she feels prepared. While a skilled fighter, and not quite as strong with a sword as her brother, Lauren’s sealing skills are unmatched by anyone on the team except Antonio.

Lauren doesn’t get much screen time as the Red Ranger, and she’s not a fan favorite, but she’s incredibly skilled. She’s capable of defeating most of the Samurai Rangers on her own, and has dedicated her life to training. While Jaden might reclaim the role eventually, Lauren has definitely earned her chance.

6. Syd Drew’s Matter Manipulation Powers Allow Her to be Stronger Than Steel

Power Rangers: S.P.D.

Sydney Drew, known as the Pink Ranger, is unique – she has the incredible ability to change her body into any material she wants. She can become incredibly hard like a diamond, or super flexible like rubber, almost instantly. The show doesn’t feature this power often, probably because it would be too strong and unbalanced.

Initially, Syd comes across as self-centered, but she quickly learns to work with her team and becomes a valuable asset. As one of the first S.P.D. Rangers to complete the cadet training, she’s confident and remarkably strong. Few enemies could withstand her power, particularly when it came to brute force.

5. Amelia Jones Takes Over the Power Rangers After Becoming the Red Cosmic Fury Ranger

Power Rangers: Dino Fury & Cosmic Fury

Amelia Jones appears human, but she’s actually a very old alien from the planet Rafkon. She steps up to lead the Rangers after Zayto becomes the Zenith Ranger, and later, a Morphin Master. As the last Red Ranger to command a team, she’s become well-known among fans for her exceptional abilities.

Because of her unique biology as a Rafkonian, Jones is naturally more capable than her human teammates. Interestingly, she’s also the daughter of the two main villains from her Power Rangers season. Though she’s a recent addition to the team, Amelia demonstrates that even newer Rangers can be valuable assets.

4. Udonna Is an Excellent Mentor to the Mystic Force Rangers

Power Rangers: Mystic Force

The Mystic Force Power Rangers stand out from other teams because they can actually use magic. Their mentor, Udonna, is a particularly powerful magic user – and she’s a rare White Ranger within the entire Power Rangers series. Interestingly, she’s also the mother of the Red Mystic Force Ranger.

Udonna primarily uses ice powers, allowing her to quickly freeze her opponents. She’s a remarkably kind and effective mentor, playing a key role in the Mystic Force Rangers’ victories. While she doesn’t often fight herself, she’s incredibly powerful when she does.

3. Katie Walker Is One of the Strongest Rangers of All Time

Power Rangers: Time Force

While many female Power Rangers have been physically strong, Katie Walker stands out for her incredible ability to lift and throw heavy debris – and she can even do it without morphing into her Ranger form. She’s arguably the strongest Ranger in the entire series, but her strength isn’t her only impressive quality; she’s also remarkably empathetic.

Katie Walker isn’t just the powerhouse of the Time Force team; she’s also its emotional center, consistently supporting her teammates even while dealing with her own difficulties. She’s one of the few Rangers who dared to challenge Alex when he tried to reclaim the Red Ranger position. Considering everything, Katie is arguably the strongest Power Ranger ever, particularly in terms of physical strength.

2. Jen Scotts Leads the Time Force Team Before Wes Collins

Power Rangers: Time Force

Jen Scotts may not be the strongest Ranger physically, but she’s a strong leader. She’s one of the few Rangers who isn’t the Red Ranger to lead her team, and while Wes Collins eventually took command, she was a very capable second-in-command. Jen also served as a mentor to the Hyper Force Rangers in a Power Rangers board game.

Jen is a rare Power Ranger who’s been a leader, right-hand person, and teacher to other Rangers – putting her in the same category as iconic leaders like Jason Lee Scott and Tommy Oliver. Many fans of the Time Force series, even those who enjoy Wes’s leadership, believe Jen deserved to continue as the team’s commander.

1. Taylor Earnhardt Is the Only Yellow Ranger to Have Led the Power Rangers

Power Rangers: Wild Force

Taylor Earnhardt is a beloved Power Ranger and a strong leader. She previously commanded the Wild Force Rangers and many fans believe she did an excellent job. Her skills are impressive, but it’s her extensive experience that truly sets her apart. Notably, she’s the first Yellow Ranger ever to be the main leader of a Power Rangers team.

While not as physically strong as some other Power Rangers, Taylor is unique because she can fly on her own, without needing a Zord. As the Yellow Eagle Ranger, she’s incredibly fast, reaching speeds of 200 miles per hour – making her one of the quickest and possibly strongest Rangers.
