Before its launch, PowerWash Simulator 2 has shared plans for the future, suggesting both free and paid downloadable content will be available. The roadmap extends into 2026.

PowerWash Simulator, the surprisingly popular game about cleaning, became a hit in 2022. It’s known for its relaxing gameplay and has already featured collaborations with famous franchises like Tomb Raider, Final Fantasy, and Shrek. A sequel was announced earlier this year, and it’s launching very soon! The developers, Futurlabs, have now shared their plans for future updates, outlining what players can expect throughout 2025 and even into 2026.

The developers of PowerWash Simulator have revealed their plans for 2026, sharing a roadmap on their official Twitter/X account. They intend to release both free and paid downloadable content (DLC) every three months, beginning in the first quarter of the year. While details are still upcoming, the free DLC, titled Caldera Chronicles, is expected to be similar in style to the original game’s Muckingham Files. The paid DLC will feature content from other franchises, potentially leading to fun and unexpected collaborations like those seen before.

The game will receive updates with new events and costumes in the future. However, the developers aren’t planning any major downloadable content or new game additions in 2025; they’re concentrating on improving performance and fixing bugs. Early reviews for PowerWash Simulator 2 are positive, with many players saying it’s just as enjoyable as the first game. Considering how surprisingly popular the original was, this sequel could finally give it the recognition it deserves. And because it’s available on Xbox Game Pass from day one, it’s likely to attract a lot of players and get everyone cleaning again.
