As we move into a new year, the upcoming games for 2026 already look very promising across all types of genres. Plus, there are even a few titles further in the future that are already generating a lot of buzz.

These upcoming games are being made by both major studios hoping to launch their next hit, and smaller teams trying to innovate. While a few are currently planned for 2027, predicting a game’s release date is often difficult, even for the developers themselves.

Okay, so Tomb Raider has been quiet for a while, but I’m super excited because Catalyst is about to bring it back! It sounds awesome!

Like previous games in the series, this new installment centers around exploring environments and solving puzzles to reveal the secrets of a mysterious location and the people trying to control it. While the next major game isn’t due until 2027, fans can currently experience Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, a complete remake of the first game, to hold them over until then.
