But exactly where within the game’s timeline and vast world will Fortune’s Weave unfold remains to be seen?

In this scenario, choosing not to declare any of “Three Houses” varied endings as official could be beneficial for Nintendo, as it would keep the game’s story open-ended and avoid stirring up controversy among fans who passionately back Edelgard, Dimitri, Claude (or the Church of Seiros), or their differing visions for Fodlan. Over time, discussions surrounding the game’s distinct routes and philosophies have heated up, with supporters strongly advocating for their preferred characters and ideologies. Furthermore, a setting in the distant future could offer an opportunity to delve into how societal structures like the Crest-based nobility or the divisions among Adrestia, Faerghus, and Leicester have evolved over the centuries.

It’s crucial to note that this theory isn’t cast in stone, but rather a plausible speculation until Nintendo unveils more details about the upcoming Fire Emblem title.
