During the Legendary Flight event scheduled from January 20 to February 3, as stated on the official website of Pokemon GO, players in this mobile game can anticipate clashes against enlarged versions of the three legendary birds, guaranteed through five-star Max Battles for an hour each time. The event commences on its launch day, January 20, transforming all Power Spots into locations for Max Battles with Dynamax Articuno. Subsequent events for Dynamax Zapdos and Dynamax Moltres will occur on the two Mondays following the event’s start date.

If you can’t grab the Dynamax versions of these three legendary Pokemon within their one-hour windows at Pokemon GO Power Spots, don’t worry! For a week after each Dynamax form’s debut, you’ll still have an opportunity to find them at Power Spots, even though they won’t appear in every encounter. Moreover, there’s a chance that all three legendary birds might show up in their shiny forms during this time.
In addition to the gameplay, this event in Pokemon GO presents a sequence of time-bound research missions and prizes. These tasks change every week, becoming available three days prior (at 10:00 a.m. local time) to the release of each new Dynamax Pokemon, concluding as soon as it officially debuts. The weekly research tasks grant players with three Pokemon that are resistant to the defensive type of the debuting Dynamax legendary bird. For instance, on January 17, you can find Charmander, Beldum, and Scorbunny; on January 24, Drilbur, Cryogonal, and Grookey; while Squirtle, Krabby, and Sobble will be available from January 31.
