Key Takeaways
- 19 games are leaving PlayStation Plus after today.
- Big titles like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Kingdom Hearts are on the chopping block.
- The good news is a fresh batch of games will be added on November 19.
As a dedicated gamer with decades of experience under my belt and a PlayStation Plus subscription that’s seen me through thick and thin, I must admit it’s always bittersweet to see games leave the service. It’s like parting ways with old friends, especially when they include heavyweights like Red Dead Redemption 2 or Kingdom Hearts.
As a dedicated gamer, I’m aware that 19 beloved titles are bidding farewell from PlayStation Plus today. Although we can hang onto the monthly freebies included in the Essential tier forever, the collection of games accessible through Extra and Premium tiers is subject to change each month. Fresh additions join the roster, while some existing ones get swapped out every four weeks.
On average, the game libraries for PS Plus Extra and Premium get updated around the midpoint of each month, and this pattern holds true for November 2024 as well. Consequently, today is the final day that PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members can enjoy playing 19 games from the current collection.
Starting on November 18th, games such as “Blasphemous”, “Chorus”, “Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen”, “Eiyuden Chronicle Rising”, “Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition”, “Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix”, “Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue”, “Kingdom Hearts 3”, “Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory”, “Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series”, “Mobile Suit Gundman Extreme Vs. Max Boost ON”, “Moving Out”, “Overcooked 2”, “Red Dead Redemption 2”, “Superliminal”, “Teardown”, “The Sims 4: City Living”, “What Remains of Edith Finch”, and “Wild Card Football” will no longer be accessible for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers. Among these, “Red Dead Redemption 2” is the largest game being removed, but fans might also feel disappointed about the departures of “Dragon’s Dogma”, “San Andreas”, “Kingdom Hearts”, and “What Remains of Edith Finch”.

Unfortunately, it’s disappointing that November 18 marks the end of availability for these games on PS Plus Extra and Premium. However, there’s a silver lining! On November 19, a fresh batch of games will be introduced to both PS Plus Extra and Premium, some of which could potentially serve as great alternatives for the games being removed.
For example, Grand Theft Auto 5 is coming to PS Plus Extra on November 19, which should appeal to fans of Rockstar’s titles that are sad to see San Andreas and Red Dead Redemption 2 go. Overcooked: All You Can Eat is coming to PS Plus Extra the same day, and since it contains all the content in Overcooked 2, that departure is basically negated. Fans of The Sims 4 are also getting treated to Island Living, which is coming in place of City Living. So even though it’s disappointing that games are leaving the service, PS Plus subscribers should still have no shortage of games to play.
