PlayStation Plus Extra members can now enjoy *The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered* on PS5 and *The Last of Us Part 2* on PS4. PlayStation Plus usually adds new games to its Extra and Premium tiers mid-month, but subscribers received an extra game this September.
I just watched Sony’s latest State of Play and I’m so excited! They showed off more of games like *Saros* and Insomniac’s *Wolverine*, which looks amazing. But the best part for me was the PlayStation Plus news. They surprised us with a bonus game added to the Extra tier, which is a really cool perk for subscribers like me!

PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members can now enjoy *The Last of Us Part 2* on PS4 and *The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered* on PS5. This award-winning game, named Game of the Year in 2020, also received accolades for its direction, story, sound, acting (Laura Bailey as Abby), accessibility features, and action-adventure gameplay. With an impressive average critic score of 93, it’s considered one of the best video games ever made. PlayStation Plus subscribers at these tiers get to experience the complete game as part of their existing subscription – a fantastic value!
It’s no secret that *The Last of Us Part 2* sparked a lot of debate when it first came out. Some of the story choices were quite controversial, so it will be interesting to see what people who are playing it now through PS Plus Extra think. However, the game’s gameplay is consistently praised, and the remastered version is even better. It offers improved performance and new content, including the challenging No Return roguelike mode, for fans to enjoy.
