With 2025 almost over, PlayStation Plus members can still look forward to one last set of free games. It’s been a great year for the service, especially since Sony has been celebrating its 15th anniversary. PlayStation Plus added a lot of popular titles that members enjoyed, including games like Silent Hill 2 Remake, Diablo 4, Lies of P, and Stardew Valley.
As we approach the final PlayStation Plus game releases for 2025, there are still a few titles players are hoping to see added to the service before the year ends.
Players with PlayStation Plus will soon be able to enjoy Red Dead Redemption starting December 2nd. The game will feature a range of improvements and updates designed for newer PlayStation consoles.

PS Plus Free Games for December 2025 Wish List – New Tales From the Borderlands
Read Game Rant’s Review of New Tales From the Borderlands
As a big Borderlands fan, I was really excited for New Tales From the Borderlands – especially since Gearbox, the creators of the whole series, were the ones making it this time! It’s a new story with a totally fresh group of characters, but it still has that signature Borderlands humor and craziness we all love. Basically, it’s about a bunch of unlikely friends teaming up to foil a really nasty plan. Honestly, with some people losing interest in the idea of Borderlands 4, I think having New Tales available on PS Plus is a brilliant move. It’s a great way to remind everyone how awesome the Borderlands universe is, and it’ll give newcomers a chance to experience a story that’s genuinely funny and well-acted.
- Enjoy a character-driven, emotional narrative with three protagonists (Anu, Octavio, and Fran)
- Go on your own choice-based adventure, featuring customizable quick-time events for key moments.
- Enjoy mini-games and cinematic polish befitting a Telltale-inspired game.
December 2025 Wish List For PS Plus Extra and Premium

- Bramble: The Mountain King: Part platformer and part puzzler, Bramble sends players on a journey through a world steeped in the often darker tone of Nordic fables. Its striking visuals and emotional core round out the fantastic experience, and adding it would mean PS Plus gets a genuinely unique game.
- Killzone: Guerrilla Games’ Killzone franchise was an iconic FPS series for PlayStation before its later success with the Horizon games. While other entries have previously hit PS Plus, the first outing still hasn’t and remains a worthwhile ride and potential pick.
- Slitterhead: From Silent Hill creator Keiichiro Toyama’s studio, Slitterhead is an intriguing, if a little uneven, action-horror game. But it has some great ideas and fun gameplay, and it would pair well with other recent PS Plus additions like SH2 Remake and Alan Wake 2.
- Lords of the Fallen (2023): A sort of soft-reboot and update for the original 2014 Soulslike, developer Hexworks rebalanced and smoothed out several combat and design elements for this version.
- Rayman 2: The Great Escape – Though other Rayman titles have been on PS Plus in the past, Rayman 2 has yet to leap onto the service, and now would be a great time to see it added.
- Octopath Traveler: Square Enix’s first entry in its modern 2D-HD JRPG series set it down a road that will continue in the upcoming Octopath Traveler 0. The original hitting PS Plus for December would bridge the gap well.
- Sorry We’re Closed: An indie survival horror game with a vibrant sense of style and charm, Sorry We’re Closed is an underrated gem and would round out 2025 well for PS Extra or Premium.
