PS Plus Monthly Games for September 2025 Wish List

The PlayStation Plus service has been particularly noteworthy this summer, as Sony commemorates its 15th anniversary in late June by offering more deals, special offers, and bonus gifts to members across all subscription tiers. The recent additions of games to the PlayStation Plus Essential library have been especially well-received compared to earlier releases, with standout titles such as Diablo 4 and Lies of P. As August comes to an end and we approach September’s announcements, it’s a good time to think about what new games might be offered through PlayStation Plus in the near future.

In June, it was announced that the classic survival horror games, Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, were coming to the PS Plus service, and they have now been added to the Premium tier. These games are considered timeless classics in the series, but many would argue that RE4 is the most popular and well-regarded title. The 2023 remake of RE4 was also highly praised for preserving the core experience while adding modern touches and updates. Fans have been asking for the remake to be added to PS+, and with Resident Evil Requiem set to release early next year, now would be an ideal time for it to join the lineup.

Adding it to PS Plus in September will offer a chance for those who didn’t get to play it earlier to experience its top-notch quality.

San Diego Studio’s “MLB The Show” is a game published by Sony, which has been a prominent feature as an exclusive title on PlayStation consoles for quite some time. September 2025 Wish List For PS Plus Extra and Premium

Among the top three options, Essential could certainly benefit from adding them. However, let’s not forget a few more intriguing or widely-liked games that could also fit nicely in the premium collection:

The above three selections would be great for Essential, but there are a couple of other popular and engaging games worth considering to strengthen the upper tier’s offerings:

  • Solar Ash– The Journey-inspired Sword of the Sea is one of August’s PS Extra titles. Heart Machine’s Solar Ash would be an excellent double feature for September, as it also sees fans surfing through a series of gorgeously rendered and mysterious landscapes.
  • The Order: 1886– Though it had a somewhat controversial launch ten years ago when it was intended to be a showcase for the then-next-gen PS4, The Order: 1886 represents an ambitious part of the console’s history. Its third-person gameplay, unique setting, and well-crafted story make it a solid Extra or Premium pick.
  • Until Then– An indie game taking inspiration from the culture of the Philippines, Until Then is a light-hearted, narrative-based game on the surface, with many moments of charming humor. But it also explores mature themes of loss while adding in some soft sci-fi elements, and features wonderfully crisp pixel art.
  • Octopath Traveler– Square Enix recently announced Octopath Traveler 0, and the original title on PS+ would be a great introduction or refresher for players ahead of the new entry.
  • Dungeons of Hinterberg– Another creative indie title, this hybrid of a Zelda-like adventure and social sim uses both to highly satisfying effect. On vacation in a semi-magical scenic tourist town nestled away in the Austrian Alps, protagonist Luisa must explore and conquer various themed dungeons while managing her relationships with the locals and fellow visitors.

During the late stages of summer, there is plenty of time remaining for individuals to enjoy the sun’s warmth. Adding any of the mentioned games to PlayStation Plus in September could greatly enhance this experience, allowing players to continue basking in the lingering summer ambiance.
