As a die-hard fan, I’ve been missing out on new main series Ape Escape games since the release of Ape Escape 3 in 2006. But my excitement was reignited when the franchise made a comeback in the Game of the Year 2024, Astro Bot, with its own themed level and opportunities to save numerous ape-themed bots! Plus, several Ape Escape games are now accessible through PS Plus Premium. With this lineup, it feels only logical that Ape Escape 3 could join the roster in the future as well.

At present, subscribers to the PS Plus Premium service can play four different games from the Ape Escape series. These include Ape Escape, Ape Escape 2, Ape Escape: On the Loose (a remake of the original game for PSP), and Ape Escape: Academy. It remains to be seen whether Ape Escape 3 will eventually become available on the platform.
