PS Plus Subscribers Are Losing 2 More Games in October 2025

PlayStation has announced that two more games will be removed from PS Plus this month. These include two titles from The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes and Devil in Me. These story-driven games from Supermassive Games are the latest to be taken off PS Plus in October, joining previously announced departures like Battlefield 1, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, and other titles that will be removed later this month.

Last September, PlayStation Plus announced it would be removing four games from its ‘Last Chance to Play’ section. These games – Battlefield 1, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, Tour de France 2023, and the PSVR2 game The Last Clockwinder – are being removed to make room for new titles. For those unfamiliar, PlayStation Plus Extra gives subscribers access to a large library of games, much like Xbox Game Pass. PlayStation Plus Premium is the top-tier subscription, offering everything in Extra *plus* a selection of classic games from the PS1, PS2, and PS3 consoles.

At first, it appeared only four games would be removed from PlayStation Plus in October 2025, but that’s not quite right. Push Square noticed the ‘Last Chance to Play’ list has been updated again, now including two more games: The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes and The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me. Both of these games were available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. This removal is especially disappointing because many players were hoping to revisit the series before Directive 8020, the next game from Supermassive Games, launches early next year.

All PlayStation Plus Games Leaving in October 2025

  • Battlefield 1 (PS4)
  • Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed (PS4, PS5)
  • Tour de France 2023 (PS4, PS5)
  • The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes (PS4, PS5)
  • The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me (PS4, PS5)
  • The Last Clockwinder (PSVR2)

This brings the total number of games leaving the service this month to six, but there’s good news: October will be a great month for new games! PlayStation Plus is offering 3 popular games to subscribers of all tiers, including Alan Wake 2 for PS5, Goat Simulator 3 for both PS4 and PS5, and Cocoon for PS4 and PS5. You can download all three games starting October 7, and they’re free for PlayStation Plus members who claim them before the next set of games is released in November.

For PlayStation Plus subscribers, there’s even more good news! PlayStation recently added what many consider to be one of the greatest games ever made – The Last of Us Part 2 – to the PS Plus Extra tier, available on both PS4 and The Last of Us Part 2: Remastered for PS5. This announcement came during the September 24th State of Play presentation, and the game is now ready to download for anyone with an active PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium subscription.
