Summary
- PS Plus subscribers in India are missing one of the three new games for April 2025.
- Subscribers were supposed to receive RoboCop: Rogue City, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory.
- Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory is unavailable for subscribers in India, leaving only two games available to redeem.
It appears thatPlayStation Plus users residing in India might not have access to one of the three games added to the service on April 1st. Typically, Sony updates its offerings for PlayStation Plus subscribers by replacing the previous month’s games with three new titles on the first Tuesday of each month. However, it’s not uncommon for differences in released games across regions to occur due to licensing complications or specific regional laws.
On previous occasions, the selection of games available on PlayStation Plus has varied among users. For instance, in January, Sony included titles like “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League,” “Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered,” and “The Stanley Parable: Deluxe” in its subscription service. Regrettably, subscribers from Hong Kong were surprised to discover they had been given “DEEEER Simulator: Your Average Everyday Deer Game” instead of “The Stanley Parable: Deluxe.” Sony hasn’t explained why the games differed for January, and it seems that April’s lineup could be even more disappointing for some subscribers in India as one game appears to be missing from their selection.
PS Plus Subscribers Missing Free Game in India
Starting April 1st, Sony added three new games to their PS Plus subscription: “RoboCop: Rogue City”, “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre”, and “Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory”. However, some global subscribers have reported an issue with these new monthly games. They claim that only “RoboCop: Rogue City” and “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre” are available for redemption in India, with no sign of “Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory”. It remains unknown why this game is not accessible in India, as Sony has yet to address the issue or provide an alternative game.
It’s displeasing to Indian gamers who are PlayStation Plus subscribers that they’re again being left out from one of the free games offered this month. The latest game missing from the list for April 2025, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory, has sparked frustration among users like No_Commision_5731 who called it “pathetic.” AlfalfaCapable and other Reddit users have expressed that Sony should provide an alternative game instead, as they do in other regions. Many more users have voiced their concern about the inequality, stating that when such issues arise, other regions receive a different title, but Indian subscribers are only getting two games for April.
As a long-time PlayStation Plus subscriber, it’s been disheartening to see the recent news about the absence of one free game for some of us, especially when it comes just days after many of us have vocalized our intention to cancel our subscription due to various reasons. The service, which I’ve been loyal to for fifteen years, has faced criticism over constant price hikes, lack of substantial discounts, and games disappearing too quickly from the service. These issues seem to be the main drivers behind many users’ decision to call it quits. With a growing sense of dissatisfaction among fans, removing one of the three monthly games for some subscribers might just add fuel to the fire, leaving us even more frustrated.
