Today, Remedy Entertainment released a new update for Control: Ultimate Edition’s PC version.

Among various enticing improvements, the standout feature in this free content update for many players is likely to be the previously exclusive mission for PS4 digital deluxe edition holders: Dr. Yoshimi Tokui’s Guided Imagery Experience, now available on all platforms compatible with Control: Ultimate Edition.

Update 1.30 Brings Several Graphics And Performance Updates

After successfully downloading and installing the update for their chosen gaming platform, players will now have access to a quest that was previously exclusive to each platform. This can be initiated by finding the Dr. Tokui Tapes collectible within the Research Sector’s Extrasensory Lab.

In this game, you’ll hear Hideo Kojima’s voiceover guiding you. To advance, you must complete various stages until you unlock the mission named ‘Old Boy’s Club’. Upon completion of this mission, you’ll gain access to the Central Research Sector. From there, you can navigate past the parapsychology area to find the Extrasensory Lab, where you can then continue with a previously unreachable mission.

Beyond another appearance by Hideo Kojima in a video game, owners of the Control: Ultimate Edition will enjoy enhanced features such as High Dynamic Range (HDR) compatibility, a new Ultra ray tracing setting, and Digital Signal Processing (DLSS) support for various resolutions, along with other visual improvements and updates.

Some previously locked cosmetics are also being made available to all players in this new update.
