Some gamers are really focused on collecting trophies, to the point where they’ll play games they don’t even enjoy just to quickly earn a platinum trophy. Some of these games can be completed in just a few hours, while others take a bit longer but are still relatively easy to achieve. While the PlayStation Store has some simple, inexpensive games seemingly made for easy platinum trophies on the PS5, many popular, high-quality games also offer this feature, providing players with both a sense of accomplishment and emotional satisfaction.
Earning a Platinum trophy can be a real grind, and repetitive tasks can quickly become frustrating. That’s why many PlayStation 5 players appreciate games that are short and easy to complete, offering a quick and satisfying path to this coveted achievement. It’s a simple enjoyment that appeals to a lot of gamers for different reasons.
This list focuses on games specifically made for the PS5, not PS4 games that can be played on it. We do have a separate article if you’re interested in those titles, though.
We’ll be covering both games specifically designed for fast Platinum trophies, and more standard PS5 games that are fairly easy to get all trophies in. Focusing only on ‘trophy games’ would be repetitive, as there’s often not much depth to discuss with them.
Along with personal experience, PSNProfiles was also used as a reference.
What Makes a Platinum Trophy Easy?
Before we look at specific games, let’s define what makes a PlayStation 5 Platinum trophy “easy” to earn. While no game perfectly meets every requirement, these guidelines cover most of them. Platinum trophies vary greatly in difficulty β some involve a lot of repetitive tasks, while others require completing the game multiple times. It’s also worth noting that a few games have trophies tied to online multiplayer that can become unavailable if the online community dwindles.
Thankfully, some games make earning a Platinum trophy relatively straightforward. While some releases are designed just for quick Platinum completions, many full, well-developed PS5 games keep the path to Platinum simple. Here are some common features found in these easier Platinum trophies.
Short Completion Time
Just because a game is easy doesn’t mean it’s short. A game over 40 hours long can still have a relatively simple Platinum trophy. However, people’s time is valuable, and they might get bored if they have to spend many hours playing a game they don’t really like. For trophy collectors, a quick and easy Platinum β one that takes only 5 to 10 hours β is a big draw. You don’t need to spend a lot of money on a very simple game to earn a Platinum trophy quickly.
No Missable Trophies
More than just how long a game is, what truly determines how hard a Platinum trophy is to earn is whether it has missable trophies. Missing just one can mean needing to replay the game, or at least a large portion of it, if you accidentally skip a quest or fail a challenge. Games with easy Platinum trophies usually don’t have missable trophies, or they let you easily go back and fix any mistakes using a chapter select feature.
Forgiving Difficulty
Getting a Platinum trophy in most games means finishing the main story. You absolutely need to see the credits roll to unlock it. Some games are naturally simple, and others let you choose the difficulty without requiring you to beat harder levels for trophies.
Minimal Grinding
I actually like the repetitive tasks in RPGs, but it’s frustrating to spend endless hours doing the same thing β like defeating tons of enemies or collecting a huge number of items β just to earn achievements. If a game requires a lot of this kind of work, it definitely shouldn’t be considered easy to fully complete.
Clear and Straightforward Trophy Requirements
Some games have trophy lists that are overly complicated and hard to follow, which can be really discouraging. Games that are easy to get a Platinum trophy prioritize being straightforward. Usually, this means simply finishing the story, doing a few side quests, collecting some items, visiting certain areas, and defeating specific bosses. A good example of a trophy that isn’t simple is the Elite trophy in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. It requires getting an S rank on all 50 missions, and the requirements for those missions are often vague or hidden, making it incredibly draining to unlock without looking up a guide.
Shapeshift Rush
1β5 Minutes To Obtain The Platinum
Getting the Platinum Trophy in ShapeShift Rush is surprisingly easy, despite having some challenging levels. All it costs is $2.49. The gameplay is simple: you move between three lanes, matching a rolling ball to shapes. The more accurate you are, the more crystals you earn.
On the easiest setting, the game’s paths are perfectly shaped for the ball, allowing you to essentially let it play on its own and collect the crystals needed to earn all the trophies. Since none of the trophies require playing on harder difficulties, you can get the Platinum trophy in just a couple of minutes. It’s that easy!
The Jumping Churros: Turbo
1β10 Minutes To Obtain The Platinum
The Jumping Churros: Turbo is a game like My Name Is Mayo, but with a different visual style. Instead of repeatedly clicking on mayonnaise, you make a churro jump continuously to unlock the platinum trophy. It’s known for being incredibly easy to get this trophy β you can even just hold down the jump button!
It’s hard to say if this game was created as a joke or simply to take advantage of players who like to collect trophies. Regardless, it’s amusing, but getting the platinum trophy doesn’t feel very rewarding.
There are other Jumping games, like The Jumping Salad: Turbo, that accomplish the same thing.
Be A Bee
1β10 Minutes To Get The Platinum Trophy
This is the last of the “platinum” games we’ll cover β honestly, there’s not much to say about them. Be A Bee is designed mostly for trophy collectors (it’s also available on Switch), and you can earn the platinum trophy in under five minutes. It’s a simple game where you just collect coins and flowers.
Pulse
2 Minutes to 1 Hour To Obtain The Platinum
- PlayStation Store Link
- Genre: Visual Novel
- Developer: Webnetic
- Release Date: January 30, 2026
Pulse is a game mainly for trophy collectors. It’s incredibly easy to earn the Platinum trophy β you can get it by simply reading through the visual novel and mostly choosing the default dialogue options. If your only goal is the trophy, you can finish the game in about a minute by rushing through. But if you actually take your time and read everything, it will likely take around an hour.
It’s commendable that Pulse attempts to be a low-cost visual novel. While it relies on repeating a limited number of images and the story isn’t particularly strong, it does offer something to experience.
My Name Is Mayo: Remayo
30 Minutes To Obtain The Platinum
Many gamers know My Name Is Mayo as a famously simple PlayStation game created mostly for players to quickly earn a platinum trophy. The original version first appeared on the PS4 and can still be played on the PS5. However, if you want the best possible experience, Remayo, a remastered version, is available on both consoles.
While the gameplay is largely unchanged, this version includes a few extra elements that add a little bit to the length. Still, Remayo remains a simple and quick game, and you can earn the platinum trophy in under an hour.
Drowning
Roughly An Hour To Obtain The Platinum
Drowning is a thought-provoking game where you explore the emotional struggles of a student dealing with depression. It’s not meant to be fun, and completing everything in the game actually requires playing through it four times.
Most players should be able to unlock everything in about an hour, and faster players might even finish in 30 minutes. We strongly suggest using a guide to get the platinum trophy as efficiently as possible, because some trophies are easy to miss without one.
My Friend Peppa Pig
1β2 Hours To Obtain The Platinum
Most children know and love Peppa Pig, a character who playfully teaches positive lessons. Because she’s so popular and easy to understand, Peppa Pig is a great choice for simple games that even very young children can enjoy.
One great thing about this game is its short length β you can earn the Platinum trophy in only about an hour and a half. That’s much faster than many other games where getting the same reward takes a really long time.
What Remains of Edith Finch
2β3 Hours To Obtain The Platinum
Okay, so I’m not into those cheap, quickly-made games, but when I finally snag a Platinum trophy, it feels good. It tells me I’ve truly gotten everything out of a game, and honestly, whether it took me 5 hours or 50 doesn’t really matter. A Platinum is a Platinum! Take What Remains of Edith Finch for example. That game just wants you to experience its story, which is super easy to do because it’s fantastic. It’s basically a ‘walking simulator’ where you wander around a house, uncovering stories about the family who lived there. It’s a really cool way to build out a family tree as you play.
You can earn almost all of the trophies in one complete game. Then, just replay two of the story sections to get the Platinum trophy. It’s a straightforward and fun experience.
Pinkman+
2β3 Hours To Obtain The Platinum
- Platforms: PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, macOS, Linux
- Release Date: January 16, 2017
- Developer: Ratalaika Games S.L.
Getting the platinum trophy in this game mostly just means finishing it. Don’t expect an easy win β Pinkman+ is a genuinely fun platformer with a unique and appealing art style. Earning the platinum will be a quick, but rewarding, experience.
After finishing the game, getting the platinum trophy should be easy for any player. Fans of platformer games will especially enjoy playing Pinkman+.
