On February 24th, Infogrames will release its fun and frantic co-op platformer, Bread & Fred, on the PlayStation 5. Punishing Co-Op Platformer Bread & Fred Coming to PlayStation 5 on February 24
Sand Castles Studios created the co-op platformer Bread & Fred, and Atari’s Infogrames will publish it on PlayStation 5 on February 24th for just $14.99. The game, which was previously available on PC (2023) and Nintendo Switch (2024), challenges players to work together as two penguins, Bread and Fred, trying to climb a snowy mountain. It’s a real test of teamwork – if one penguin falls, both fall, so careful coordination is key!
Okay, so I’m excited to share that Bread & Fred isn’t just coming to PlayStation – Xbox Series X/S players are getting it on the same day! And it’s not just the base game, we’re also getting the Laboratory Update right from the start. That means a massive 666-meter map to explore, plus a bunch of new puzzles, mechanics, and even more story! I didn’t expect the game to have such a deep lore, but apparently it does, and this update adds even more to it. Pretty cool, right?

Okay, so I just got my hands on Bread & Fred on the PlayStation 5, and let me tell you, this game is hard. It looks all cute and simple, but don’t let that fool you – it’s a real friendship tester! You have to work perfectly with your co-op partner, the platforming is super precise. This new release also includes the Laboratory Update, which adds a ton of new stuff to play, so it’s a great time to jump in. I can see why it’s been so popular, and I think it’s going to be a big hit on the PS5!
