The PlayStation 5 is having a great year so far, and March is shaping up to be even better! New games are constantly being released for the console, giving players plenty of fresh content. Whether it’s the latest multi-platform titles or big, exclusive games from Sony itself, the PS5 continues to deliver.
PlayStation 5 owners have recently enjoyed several free-to-play games, including titles like 2XKO and Highguard, plus the popular action RPG Nioh 3. There’s even more on the way this month, with Resident Evil Requiem launching on February 27th. It’s expected to be one of the biggest game releases of 2026.
PS5 gamers have a lot to look forward to in March! Several new games are coming out, starting on March 5th with Marathon and Planet of Lana 2: Children of the Leaf. March 12th brings Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake, Greedfall 2: The Dying World, and Toxic Commando, followed by Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection and WWE 2K26 on March 13th. MLB The Show 26 arrives on March 17th, and Crimson Desert and Mouse: P.I. for Hire will be released on March 19th. The month wraps up on March 26th with the release of Life is Strange: Reunion.

Marathon is the upcoming extraction shooter from Bungie, the studio behind popular games like Halo and Destiny, which is now owned by Sony. What makes Marathon different is that, unlike most PlayStation exclusives, it will be available on both PC and Xbox on the same day it launches on PS5. The game has faced some controversy, and with Sony’s recent attempts at live-service games receiving criticism, it will be interesting to see how the final version of Marathon performs when it releases on March 5th.
March is bringing a lot of new games to PS5, including Marathon, Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake, and WWE 2K26, but the biggest release is undoubtedly Crimson Desert. This game boasts a huge open world, potentially larger than Skyrim and Red Dead Redemption 2. While Crimson Desert looks great, it remains to be seen if it will be as enjoyable to play as other popular open-world games. Only time will tell if it lives up to the anticipation.
Coming to PS5 in March, Life is Strange: Reunion is a highly anticipated game that reunites popular characters Max Caulfield and Chloe Price. It’s already looking like one of the most exciting installments in the Life is Strange series since the first game came out in 2015.
I’m most excited about playing Mouse: P.I. for Hire on PlayStation 5 in March 2026. It’s a first-person shooter with a unique, cartoonish art style similar to Cuphead, drawing inspiration from old Mickey Mouse cartoons. I’ve been following this game for a couple of years now, and it looks like exactly the kind of game I enjoy. I’m really looking forward to trying it out on March 19th.
