PS5 Pro Pre-Order Details Revealed

PS5 Pro Pre-Order Details

Starting September 26, 2024, you can place pre-orders for the PS5 Pro. You can do this directly through PlayStation’s website at direct.playstation.com or from retailers who are partnering with us in regions where PlayStation Direct isn’t available. For other participating retailers, pre-orders will commence on October 10, 2024. The PS5 Pro is set to hit the shelves a month later, specifically on November 7, 2024.

About PS5 Pro

The revamped PS5 model, or PS5 Pro, is a mid-generation update that enhances graphics quality and ensures smoother gameplay with improved frame rates. This next-gen console boasts an upgraded GPU, offering increased compute units, quicker memory, and swifter game rendering. The PS5 Pro showcases advanced ray tracing capabilities, capable of emitting double or even triple the number of rays compared to the current PS5 model. Additionally, it will incorporate AI-powered upscaling through PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR).

Beyond that, the PS5 Pro Game Boost offers compatibility with over 8,500 PS4 and PS5 games. This feature can stabilize or improve performance, as well as elevate the visual quality of numerous current titles. To clarify, the upcoming PS5 Pro model maintains the same dimensions as the current version, but it’s marketed as a disc-less console.
