In ARC Raiders, finding valuable loot is a key part of the game. It encourages players to venture to the surface and face dangerous ARC machines and other players. Some of the most sought-after items are powerful weapons like the Aphelion, Jupiter, and Equalizer, as well as the plans to build them. However, the rarest item in ARC Raiders isn’t a weapon – it’s a unique gun modification and its blueprint, and there’s currently only one of its kind in the entire game.
While powerful Legendary weapons are available in ARC Raiders, they can be costly to replace if lost. That’s why some of the most effective weapons are actually the more affordable options, like the Ferro, Anvil, and Stitcher. To really maximize the Anvil’s potential, players need to find the Anvil Splitter, a rare Tech Mod that’s difficult to obtain, both the item itself and its blueprint.
ARC Raiders’ Anvil Splitter Legendary Tech Mod is Extremely Rare, and Its Blueprint is Even Rarer
As a big fan of ARC Raiders, I’m always on the lookout for the best gear, and the Legendary quality items are the absolute rarest you can find! Right now, here’s what’s available in the Legendary tier:
- Aphelion — Battle Rifle
- Equalizer — Energy Beam Gun
- Jupiter — Bolt Action Sniper Rifle
- Anvil Splitter — Tech Mod for the Anvil
- Kinetic Converter — Stock Mod
- Snap Hook — Gadget
- Queen Core — Crafting Material
Legendary items are quite rare in ARC Raiders compared to other item types, so players probably won’t find many, if any, while exploring. However, the Anvil Splitter stands out even among these rare items, making it especially valuable.
Where to Find the Anvil Splitter and What it Does
Normally, the Anvil shoots one powerful round each time you pull the trigger. But the Anvil Splitter changes that – it breaks each shot into four smaller projectiles, each dealing 30% of the original damage. While this means you’re actually dealing 120% of the total damage across all four shots, it’s especially effective against big enemies like Leapers and Bastions when you’re fighting up close. The downside is that the Anvil loses its long-range accuracy when using this modification.
Getting the Anvil Splitter can be really challenging, since it doesn’t have one specific place where it always appears. Your best bet is to search high-value loot areas during Night Raids, focusing on rooms you can break into and the Security Lockers belonging to ARC Raiders. If you manage to find an Anvil Splitter blueprint, you can then craft the item as many times as you need using the blueprint’s recipe.
| Weapon Mod | Required Crafting Materials | Required Workbench |
|---|---|---|
| Anvil Splitter | 2x Mod Components 3x Processors | Gunsmith 3 |
The Anvil Splitter is Currently the Only Tech Mod in ARC Raiders
Image via Embark Okay, so the Anvil Splitter is kinda special in ARC Raiders. It’s the only Tech Mod you can actually use with the Anvil weapon. If you’re checking out your Anvil before a match, you’ll see it has two slots – one for a regular muzzle attachment and one specifically for a Tech Mod. You can find different versions of muzzle attachments, but that Tech Mod slot? Only the Anvil Splitter fits there. That means most of us are probably running around with just one attachment on our Anvil unless we get super lucky and find a Splitter while scavenging topside.
Future updates to ARC Raiders might include more Tech Mods. Although the recent Cold Snap update didn’t add any new ones, Embark Studio hasn’t revealed their full plans for the game through 2026 and beyond, so players can expect potential surprises that could make Tech Mods more widely available.
