As a long-time Pokémon fan, I remember Mystery Gifts way back in the Gold, Silver, and Crystal days – can you believe they used infrared to send them then?! Things really started to pick up with Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, and of course, Pokémon Legends: Z-A has them too. Just a heads-up though, a few of the current Mystery Gifts are going to expire at the end of February 2026, and then even more will expire shortly after that, so make sure to redeem them before they’re gone!
It’s easy to miss emails and time flies, so Pokemon Legends: Z-A players—whether you’re returning to the game, just starting out, or somewhere in between—should redeem their Mystery Gifts quickly before the opportunity disappears. Also, it’s a good idea to regularly check for Mystery Gifts, as these current codes expire the day after Pokemon Day on February 27th. We probably won’t have to wait long for even more gifts to be announced for the event!
Several free items given away as Mystery Gifts in Pokémon Legends: Z-A will disappear on February 28th. While some of these are fairly common, others are powerful Mega Pokémon that players might find useful, so it’s worth checking what’s expiring soon.

Okay, so I’m a little confused about this Diancie mission, “Shine Bright Like a Gemstone.” Some sites, like IGN, are saying it might actually be available forever, which is awesome! But Gamesradar is reporting it’s going to disappear on February 28th. Honestly, I don’t want to risk missing out, so I’m definitely claiming it just in case it does expire. Better safe than sorry, right?
Pokemon Legends: Z-A Mystery Gifts Expiring in March 2026

| 3 of each of the following: Fast Balls, Heavy Balls, Level Balls, and Lure Balls | Emailed Code From Digital Purchase of Pokemon Legends: Z-A’s Mega Dimension DLC | March 10 |
If you’re not sure if you’ve already received your Mystery Gifts, the best way to check is through the Mystery Gift menu in the game. It will show you everything you’ve claimed. If you’ve already gotten them, you don’t need to worry about claiming them again by February 28th or March 10th.
Players of Pokemon Legends: Z-A should still watch for news at the end of February. While in-game gifts are possible, many fans are expecting the reveal of the next Pokemon generation, currently known as Pokemon Wind and Wave. This likely includes a first look at the starter Pokemon for Generation 10, and there’s also talk that Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen might finally be released on the Switch. We’ll have all the answers soon, but it’s an exciting time to be a Pokemon fan!
