PUBG’s Tactical Shooter is Now Called ‘PUBG: Blindspot’

KRAFTON has recently rebranded the PUBG spin-off previously known as Project ARC, giving it a new name – PUBG: Blindspot. From February 21 to March 3, you’ll have an exclusive chance to try out this top-down tactical shooter on Steam, as a demo will be made available during that period.

In the game’s title, “PUBG” stands for PUBG Studios’ venture into diverse gaming categories, while “Blindspot” symbolizes its unique combination of overhead gunplay and sight-oriented strategic gameplay, providing players with a novel and thrilling adventure.

This game’s innovative mechanics hint at a more rapid and thrilling shooting experience compared to the comparatively leisurely atmosphere of a battle royale. Essentially, it’s a shooter where you can only spot opponents if they would logically be within your character’s line of sight, given its bird’s-eye view.

Hence the name, Blindspot.

Similar to Rainbow Six Siege, Blindspot is a 5-versus-5 shooting game where players can employ various tools and firearms to achieve their objectives. In the course of a game, players will discover they have only one life, and each round adheres to the conventional ‘assault vs. defense’ format.

Three months ago, KRAFTON published a first-look trailer of Blindspot, then called Project ARC:
