Since then, they’ve been nowhere to be seen in the manga, leaving me wishing there had been more insight into how the actions of Kenjaku and Sukuna impacted everyday Japanese citizens like us.

Besides Yuko Ozawa, an old classmate of Itadori with unspoken feelings for him, who chose not to reveal them upon their reunion, is also worth noting. Yuko initially appeared as a possible love interest for the protagonist, but she hasn’t been seen or mentioned since her debut.

Despite several powerful characters not fully demonstrating their confirmed Domain Expansions, such as the spectral entity Hanami, Ryu Ishigori, and Takako Uro, the most disheartening exclusion was Yuki Tsumuko’s Domain Expansion. She had intended to deploy it against Kenjaku, but unfortunately, she met an untimely end before realizing this plan.

Initially, spectators eagerly anticipated witnessing the Five Mysterious Generals battling against Sukuna directly, reminiscent of the ancient Heian Era. However, this exciting confrontation never materialized in the narrative. Despite being portrayed as highly skilled sorcerers, they were soon overshadowed by the storyline, with only a fleeting reference to Sukuna’s triumph over three squads serving as their claim to fame.

If the history between Sukuna and Uraume had been shown through a flashback, it would have made more sense as to why Sukuna seemed fond of Uraume, despite his apparent contradiction in character traits.

For a while now, it’s been known that Mahoraga has dwelled within the Ten Shadows Technique and no one was able to subdue it in the past. But the origin of this formidable entity remains a mystery – how was it born? What makes it so powerful? Unfortunately, Satoru Gojo managed to annihilate Mahoraga with his Hollow Purple before these questions could be addressed.

Unbeknownst to them, Kenjaku’s true objective was to carry out a massacre using his cursed spirits, thereby amassing sufficient cursed energy for his impending merge with Tengen.

Readers got a peek into global perceptions towards Japan’s Jujutsu society when Kenjaku met with U.S. officials, hinting at other nations’ interest in harnessing cursed energy as an energy source. However, following the end of the Culling Game Arc, neither American soldiers nor their involvement was further mentioned, leaving readers uncertain about their survival or if any response to Kenjaku’s betrayal was planned by their government.

As a gamer, I found myself astonished when I realized that both Suguru Geto and Satoru Gojo experienced an eerily similar ordeal. Their bodies were, in essence, stolen from them by external forces. Post the occurrences of Jujutsu Kaisen 0, Kenjaku took control of Geto’s body, while Yuta seized control during Gojo and Sukuna’s battle, as he mimicked the same cursed technique.

After the dramatic final battle, it wasn’t clearly explained what became of these two bodies. However, it might be that Gojo’s body was sent back to the Gojo Clan for a proper burial. In contrast, Fumihiko Takaba was seen working on a new comedy sketch with a man who strongly resembles Geto/Kenjaku. But his face wasn’t revealed, leading us to question if this is indeed Geto/Kenjaku resurrected through Takaba’s Comedian ability, or merely someone else who shares a similar appearance.
