Rainbow Six Mobile and Division Resurgence Quietly Delayed

Rainbow Six Mobile and Division Resurgence Quietly Delayed

As a long-time fan of both The Division and Rainbow Six franchises, I can’t help but feel a pang of disappointment upon hearing the news that their respective mobile counterparts, Resurgence and Mobile, have been delayed yet again. I’ve eagerly anticipated these games for quite some time, with dreams of immersing myself in familiar worlds on the go. The Division Resurgence, in particular, has been a long time coming, initially promised last year.

According to Ubisoft’s latest financial report, the launches of The Division Resurgence and Rainbow Six Mobile, two eagerly awaited mobile games, have been unannouncedly shifted from FY25 to FY26. This implies that their release dates are now no earlier than April 2025. This news is disappointing for The Division Resurgence in particular, as it was initially planned to come out over a year ago.

In other places, Ubisoft announced impressive financial figures for the year, significantly boosted by the debut of XDefiant, which has surpassed predictions.

Delayed Again

In a statement made up as part of the recent financial report, Ubisoft wrote:

For the remainder of this fiscal year (FY25), we have planned releases such as Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Star Wars Outlaws. However, Rainbow Six Mobile and The Division Resurgence will not be coming out in FY25 as their development teams are devoting additional time to enhance these projects and meet our high standards for success in a competitive and vast market.

As an avid fan, I’ve been eagerly anticipating the release of native mobile versions of The Division and Rainbow Six. The excitement is palpable in the community as we believe Rainbow Six Mobile will pave the way for a new esports chapter in the franchise. With mobile esports on the rise, this could be an incredible opportunity to expand the reach and appeal of Rainbow Six. Additionally, The Division Resurgence’s free-to-play model is expected to draw in a massive audience, making it a must-try for both new and veteran players like myself.

As a gamer and Ubisoft enthusiast, I can tell you that Ubisoft has expressed great excitement about expanding into the mobile gaming market. According to their Q1 2024-2025 financial report, only 10% of their total revenue came from mobile games.

Although some critics have raised objections, Ubisoft’s financial health is robust, as indicated in the report. In May, XDefiant was unveiled as a free-to-play title, and surprisingly, players have responded positively to the in-game transactions.
