As a seasoned Rainbow Six Siege player with countless hours under my belt, I must say that Ubisoft has outdone themselves yet again. The Freeze For All Permafrost event is an exhilarating twist on the classic gameplay we all know and love.
As a die-hard fan, I’m thrilled to announce that Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege has unveiled its festive event! This time around, we get to dive into a fresh game mode on a redesigned map, and let’s not forget the tantalizing array of new rewards up for grabs!
The game “Freeze For All Permafrost” will be active for about a month more, ending on January 6th of the coming year. During this time, you can expect to immerse yourself in an updated celebration of last year’s winter festivities.
In this game, the main mode features eight players competing against each other in a free-for-all setting. You’ll earn extra points by picking up “Frozen Souls” that fallen opponents leave behind.
Contrary to last year’s occasion, this time around, you have an endless number of chances to respawn, enabling players to be significantly bolder in battle. The first to amass 40 points takes the victory, or if the game reaches its eight-minute mark, the player with the highest score will emerge as the winner.
At this event, the Arctic Workshop acts as our updated guide – it’s essentially a revamped and refreshed version of the Hereford Base, decked out for the holiday season.
However, our common goal is to reap benefits, and there are plenty of these coming up during the festive period. As is customary with live-service games, simply logging in during the event will earn you rewards – specifically, a complimentary cosmetic bundle.
Each week, I can seize the opportunity to upgrade my Variant pack for Frost, and by tuning into Twitch, I might also snag a bundle for Grim as a reward!
If you’re open to spending a bit more, the Freeze For All Permafrost collection offers packages for seven distinct game operators. Mika, Finka, and Thermite will receive new packages, while Thorn, Ash, Vigil, and Dokkaebi will get upgraded Variant bundles.
The assortment additionally incorporates a variety of skins – from drone skins to universal weapon skins, animated weapon skins, and many more.
Freeze For All – A Chill Event For Rainbow Six Siege
You can find comprehensive details about all the offerings on Ubisoft’s official website, where they have published both a recent announcement and a blog post, providing you with all necessary information.
If you’ve been to similar events before, you’ll find that this one is quite straightforward, even during the holiday season. You can dive right in without any hesitation and quickly grasp the general idea – the gameplay mode offers a familiar take on a free-for-all experience, and by now, we’re all quite acquainted with skins.
Reflecting on my experience, I must say that the Freeze For All Permafrost event was surprisingly laid-back. It’s like a treasure hunt, grab what you can and then unwind with peace of mind. I’m confident there will be more thrilling adventures ahead!
There has been talk about a potential new installment in the Rainbow Six series, though we won’t see any concrete developments until 2025.
