At the Six Invitational tournament, Ubisoft unveiled their bold strategy, Siege X, aimed at sustaining Rainbow Six Siege for the upcoming decade. On March 13th, Ubisoft will be broadcasting a three-hour global debut of Siege X, with a few tantalizing tidbits already disclosed.
At the Six Invitational event, representatives Alex Karpazis and Joshua Mills from Ubisoft announced that the upcoming decade of Rainbow Six Siege will be underpinned by an entity called Siege X, which is not a new game in the form of a sequel or follow-up.

‘It’s Not Just Another Update’
Joshua Mills held the stage at the Six Invitational before a roaring crowd and explained:
It is not Siege 2, and it’s not just another update. It’s a major evolution.
To strengthen and solidify the core structure of Siege, we’re working hard to keep it as the leading strategic PvP first-person shooter in its category.
This implies significant visual and auditory enhancements, smoother gameplay experience, and innovative gaming methods, yet preserving the unique essence that defines the heart of Siege.
Karpazis followed that up:
At the Six Invitational, it’s hard to fully express just how monumental this advancement truly is.
The world premiere of Siege X will take place on March 13 in Atlanta.
For quite some time, there had been discussions among fans regarding the potential unveiling of Rainbow Six Siege 2, or similar speculations. However, with Ubisoft clarifying the situation, these rumors have been definitively debunked.
For three years now, work has been secretly underway by developers on the new version of Siege X, boasting a range of impressive enhancements. Remarkably, despite such long-term development, not a single detail about the project has leaked to the public.
As a dedicated fan, I was thrilled to learn that members from the Siege team have been providing exclusive sneak peeks of Siege X to both press and creators. During the Six Invitational event, some of the most prominent figures in Rainbow Six were given an opportunity to experience Siege X firsthand, and their reactions spoke volumes about its impressive enhancements over the original Rainbow Six Siege.
