Ubisoft has officially revealed details about Season 1 of Rainbow Six Siege’s tenth year, featuring the introduction of a fresh operator called Rauora and a new reputation system. Ever since its debut, Rainbow Six Siege has consistently received updates, with some offering exciting new seasons and features to captivate newcomers and maintain the interest of long-time players.
In December 2024, the latest season for “Rainbow Six Siege” was launched, dubbed Operation Collision Point. The primary focus of this update is a remastering of Blackbeard, one of the game’s long-standing operators, enhancing his abilities significantly. Additionally, this season introduced cross-play compatibility between consoles and PC, as well as improvements to safeguard and enhance player experience, along with various adjustments. In this new development for Rainbow Six Siege during Year 10, the initial season, titled Operation Prep Phase, has been revealed. The main attraction of the update is the introduction of a brand-new attack operator named Rauora. Initially, she will be accessible through the battle pass; later, she can also be obtained using Renown or R6 Credits. For the first time ever in this game’s history, a character will wield the Reaper MK2 pistol as her secondary weapon. Unique to Rauora is her gadget, the Deployable Omnilink Mesh (D.O.M.), which deploys bulletproof panels on doorways, allowing her to disrupt her adversaries’ line of sight and hinder their movement.

On the contrary, those with a Disruptive or Dishonorable rating will be barred from playlists and denied access to certain rewards. The update also includes new features to combat exploits and cheating, as well as a revamped matchmaking system. Starting from Operation Prep Phase, developers aim to enhance matchmaking by taking into account the number of server requests, along with dynamic matchmaking 1.0, ensuring more balanced matches even during busy hours.
