Enthusiasts of the Rayman series have valid reasons to feel enthusiastic, as the official Twitter account for this franchise posted a fresh update after a gap of four years. This message originates from the creators behind the Rayman series, reminiscing about the past but also stirring up anticipation for the future direction of the franchise.
Rayman began in 1995, initially created by Ubisoft Montpellier, and has since grown into a comprehensive franchise. The main series boasts five games, along with numerous spin-offs, such as the popular Raving Rabbids sub-series. Fans have enjoyed the series for three decades, but it’s been quite some time since a new core game was released, with Rayman Legends debuting in 2013. To commemorate the series’ 30th anniversary and celebrate a fan event dedicated to the series, some of the developers have shared an official update on Rayman’s history and future plans.
Rayman Twitter Account Shares Exciting New Message
On Twitter, fans of Rayman started wondering why the account’s profile picture and message changed. Not long after, an official tweet was posted, featuring a three-minute video from Loic Gounon, the producer for the Rayman brand, along with composer Christophe Heral. This video was initially shown at the Rayman Alive fan event on September 1st. In the video, Gounon announced that moving forward, the developers would be delving into the series’ history by sharing behind-the-scenes clips, interviews with team members, and concept art over the next few months.
In simpler terms, Gounon indicated that the upcoming installment of the beloved 3D platformer game series, Rayman, is under development. This collaboration is being led by Ubisoft Montpellier and Ubisoft Milan. However, he urged fans not to anticipate immediate updates about the new game as it may take a few years before it officially launches. Additionally, they featured an interview with Christophe Heral, composer of Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends, who shared his appreciation for fan appreciation of his music and even performed a short piece live for them.

Enthusiasm among fans appears to be running high after the tweet’s release. Although some may find it disheartening to hear that the next installment of the Rayman game isn’t imminent, learning that the original series is still being worked on and that the developers are committed to it offers a significant boost in morale.
