RDR2: All Talismans & Trinkets (& Locations)

Now that Red Dead Redemption 2 is available on PS Plus Extra, many new players are experiencing Rockstar’s acclaimed game for the first time, which is fantastic! However, the game is incredibly vast, and newcomers might feel a bit lost with everything there is to do. For example, RDR2‘s collectibles like talismans and trinkets seem insignificant, and it’s easy to miss them. But everything in the game serves a purpose, and these collectibles, while small, offer useful benefits and are worth finding.

This article provides a complete list of all talismans and trinkets available in the original version of Red Dead Redemption 2. Whether you’re new to the game or revisiting it, you’ve likely overlooked some – a few of which could be quite helpful. The talismans and trinkets are listed alphabetically, and you can quickly jump back to the beginning by clicking on the “Alligator Tooth Talisman” link.

The Eagle Talon Talisman and Iguana Scale Trinket are only available in the Special Edition of RDR2, or the Ultimate Edition which includes all content – similar to a Game of the Year edition. If you own either of these editions, you’ll automatically receive these items in your game.

Iguana reduces horseback damage by 10%, while Eagle Talon extends Eagle Eye by 5 seconds.

Should You Bother Collecting Talismans & Trinkets?

Before diving in, let’s consider if it’s even worth collecting talismans and trinkets in Red Dead Redemption 2. The game isn’t overly difficult on the normal setting, so extra help might seem optional. However, yes, these collectibles are definitely worth getting! They give Arthur lasting, automatic improvements to his abilities, the quality of loot he finds, and how quickly his equipment wears down. While each one doesn’t seem like a huge deal, they add up to a significant benefit when you collect several.

Keep in mind that talismans and trinkets work simply by being in Arthur’s possession – you don’t need to actively equip them. Their effects add up, and as you collect more, they’ll start giving Arthur much bigger benefits.

You don’t have to find every single one, though, since that wouldn’t be very satisfying. Just focus on getting a handful of perks related to hunting and survival.
