Ready or Not: Home Invasion - Lawmaker Mission Guide

As a seasoned player of Ready or Not with countless hours under my belt, I can confidently say that the Lawmaker mission from the Home Invasion DLC is a thrilling challenge for even the most skilled operatives. With its sprawling mansion layout and close-quarters engagements, it’s reminiscent of a real-life house party gone terribly wrong!

In the extra content called “Home Invasion” from the game “Ready or Not,” the objective known as “The Lawmaker” may seem simple, but it could pose difficulties for players who aren’t accustomed to intense close combat situations. This mission unfolds within a vast mansion seized by extremists, so you should be prepared for numerous skirmishes from room to room.

Although the Lawmaker mission might not be as intricate as some other “Ready or Not” tasks, it’s situated within a expansive map teeming with numerous doors and vantage points. Navigating through this level may prove challenging, but with adequate practice and planning, players should find success in no time.

All Lawmaker Objectives in Ready or Not

The map Lawmaker resembles another indoor Close Quarters Battle (CQB) setting, much like the Dorms map in Ready or Not. The majority of engagements will take place within rooms and corridors, although there are some longer lines of sight, such as the main entrance foyer and the backyard. In this mission, your tasks involve:

  • Bring Order to Chaos: Arrest or neutralize all suspects in the area.
  • Rescue All Civilians: Restrain all unarmed civilians.
  • Locate Active Panic Rooms: Make contact with the family hiding in one of the mansion’s panic rooms.
  • Rescue Sven Anderson-Lincoln: Rescue the owner of the house.

Lawmaker Panic Room Locations

In the mansion, there are two safe rooms you might encounter. The specific one you’re after features a flashing red light. If the room you stumble upon doesn’t have an active red, flashing light, then disregard it as not being the panic room you seek.

  • One panic room is on the second floor, next to the spiral staircase in the middle of the mansion.
  • The other panic room is inside the dressing room next to the master bedroom on the third floor.

Just engage with the operational pad outside the current safe room. This action will trigger a reaction from the family within, thereby completing that task on your checklist.

Where to Find Sven Anderson-Lincoln

Sven, the proprietor of the grand house, could be located anywhere across the map. He’s a man in his middle years, typically dressed in laid-back clothing, and he will shout unique phrases that stand out from regular townspeople. He tends to materialize on the third floor quite frequently, and it’s rare for him not to have at least one suspicious individual keeping watch over him.

As a dedicated advocate, I firmly believe that my goals should never be anything but firm and unwavering. If I’m aiming for the highest possible rank, I know I must prioritize saving every single suspect and civilian in each situation. Only then can I truly claim an S-rank clear.

Tips and Recommended Loadouts

The individuals under suspicion are heavily fortified and carry potent firearms such as AK rifles and Five Seven handguns. To counteract this, it’s advisable to wear tough ceramic or steel vests on a flexible carrier, ensuring both protection and maneuverability. A protective shield can be helpful when working in unison with others, but it’s generally safer to avoid direct contact and instead aim for evasive actions. Also, carry flashlights with you since certain areas may be dimly lit.

To complicate things further, individuals suspected in Lawmaker often resort to utilizing civilians as a protective barrier. In such instances, consider employing flashbangs or CS gas when you’re certain there’s a suspect within the room, as it’s probable that they might be holding someone captive. If you’re operating a pepperball launcher, aim for the floor beneath the suspects. This will induce coughing in them without incurring any penalties for excessive force due to potential misuse against human shields.

Here are some tips for the Lawmaker mission:

  • The mansion is huge. We strongly recommend doing a thorough, systematic sweep of every room starting at the first floor.
  • Use AP rifle rounds. Suspects are equipped with bulletproof vests that can give low-caliber HP ammo trouble.
  • Start at the rear entrance. The main entrance can be hard to breach since there could be suspects on the second floor watching the door.
  • On lethal playthroughs, aim for the head. This should help with unexpected human shield encounters. There are no arrest requirements for the mission.
