Rebel Wolves ‘Dawnwalker’ RPG Will Be Published by Bandai Namco

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation at the prospect of Dawnwalkers, the new AAA RPG from Rebel Wolves. With veterans from CDPR at the helm and backed by the mighty Bandai Namco, this game is shaping up to be something truly special.

Recently, it’s been confirmed that Rebel Wolves, a studio composed of former CDPR team members, has joined forces with Bandai Namco to distribute Dawnwalkers, their debut AAA RPG. This innovative IP is designed for mature audiences and leverages Unreal Engine 5. At this point, details about Dawnwalker are scarce, but we do know that it’s a sandbox game set within a grim fantasy world.

For the initial release, Rebel Wolves is supported by the publishing might of Bandai Namco, a renowned figure in the gaming industry known for its RPG titles. Interestingly, Bandai Namco has previously collaborated with CDPR to distribute The Witcher game series in certain regions.

A New Universe

According to a recent press announcement, it was emphasized that Dawnwalker is an action role-playing game where players traverse ‘medieval Europe’, though with some distinctive elements. In the sole piece of concept art unveiled for the game, we observe what appears to be a typical medical setting, but there are several key deviations.

In another scenario, a flag-bearer adorned in medieval attire takes on an unusual appearance, almost like a mythical creature. He readies himself for battle against what seems to be a vampire or some similar creature of the night. As he descends the steep cliff, this agile and muscular figure skillfully slows his fall by gripping the rocky wall with powerful talons.

It sounds compelling enough, I just can’t wait to see more.

Titled ‘The First Chapter of Dawnwalker Saga’, this initial installment serves as a hint that there will be more in the series to come. I’m eagerly anticipating it to deliver the same level of immersion and quality found in The Witcher, showcasing the team’s expertise gained from their work on those esteemed games.
