The latest sneak peek trailer unveils that the third season of “Record of Ragnarök” is now being produced. Netflix shared the trailer for “Record of Ragnarök III” on their YouTube channel last Friday, hinting at the resumption of the epic series where gods’ and humans’ representatives from around the world engage in 13 life-or-death battles to save humanity. The main crew, a fresh key visual, and an exciting artwork by the original artist Azychika were also introduced.

The release date for the third season has not been announced yet, but a preview has hinted that this will be the last season in the series, which has been extremely popular and has even made it into Netflix’s Top 10 list in 84 countries. The first major fight featured in the season will pit Qin Shi Huang against Hades, the Greek God of the Underworld, marking the seventh and final battle needed to break a 3-3 deadlock.

What We Know About The Record of Ragnarök III So Far

Main Staff and Production Information

The third season of Record of Ragnarök, teased by a trailer that hints at Qin Shi Huang’s conflict with Hades, doesn’t divulge much else about the upcoming series installment, as it is confirmed to be the final one. Apart from the battle shown in the trailer, viewers can anticipate witnessing Tesla battling Beelzebub and Leonidas facing off against Apollo.

In contrast to past instances where series trailers might mislead fans about the quality of animation, the previews for Record of Ragnarök III suggest a significant improvement in animation production compared to the disappointing first season, which was often criticized as “a slide show.” However, there were some improvements noticed in season 2. The upcoming season will be helmed by Tokyo Revengers director Koichi Hatsumi, with screenplay written by Yasuyuki Mutō of Afro Samurai fame. Character designs will be handled by Yōko Tanabe and Hisashi Kawashima, while music will be composed by Yasuharu Takanashi, known for his work on Naruto and Fairy Tail. The animation production for this season will be a joint effort between Yumeta Company and MARU Animation (backgrounds, Drifters).
