Lately, all the news about the Red Dead Redemption series has focused on Red Dead Redemption 2. We recently learned it’s become one of the best-selling games ever, ranking fourth all-time. There were also reports that the game nearly didn’t happen due to concerns about its budget and development timeline. Now, details about the very first Red Dead Redemption game are starting to appear online.

Red Dead Redemption Rated for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Switch 2

A new rating for Red Dead Redemption recently appeared on the ESRB website. It lists the game as being available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series, suggesting it will be released for these consoles. The rating details, including what’s in the game and a summary, are identical to previous versions.

Recently, there’s been a lot of talk about a remastered version of Red Dead Redemption 2 coming to next-gen consoles like the Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, with improved graphics and gameplay. But instead of a listing for that game, a rating has appeared for the very first Red Dead Redemption, which has left fans puzzled.

Here’s a quick update: Rockstar Games has removed the Red Dead Redemption 2 companion app. Also, the Independent Workers of Great Britain union has filed legal claims against Rockstar regarding recent layoffs.
