Currently, Reddit is encountering an outage, rendering it unavailable to its vast user base. Known for its extensive forums where users exchange a myriad of creations, seek assistance, debate news, and engage in various discussions, Reddit stands among the most frequented sites on the Internet. Typically, Reddit operates smoothly and efficiently; however, there are occasional instances when the site undergoes downtime or encounters technical glitches.
Man, I’ve been having some serious troubles with Reddit today, Tuesday, June 3. It all kicked off around 1:30pm CST and it’s still going on as I type this. Over 30,000 folks have headed to Down Detector to report similar issues with Reddit. No one seems to know yet what’s causing these problems or when we’ll be back up and running again. It’s a bit of a bummer, but hopefully it gets sorted out soon!
Currently, users can reach Reddit, yet clicking on discussions often leads to an error message saying “Server issue. We’ve encountered a problem. Please try again at a later time.” Occasionally, threads will load, but attempting to read comments or scroll down a timeline results in the same error message appearing. The positive aspect is that Reddit usually resolves its outage issues swiftly, so it’s likely that service will be restored more quickly than expected.
