Having witnessed the first two installments, I was well-prepared for the bloodbath that ensued in this latest offering from Damien Leone. Yet, it seems that not everyone is as prepared or enthused as I am.
Among the gruesome horror movies recently produced, Terrifier 3 is frequently praised as an especially grim and violent film. However, it seems that some fans may have been misled about viewers becoming nauseous and leaving screenings of Terrifier 3; a Redditor suggested this might not be entirely accurate.
Last October 2024, I found myself participating in a chilling discussion on the horror SubReddit, where @Sorry_Sorry_Im_Sorry shared an intriguing experience. It turned out that the marketing team for Terrifier 3 had extended invitations to a secret screening of the movie. What made this event unusual was that attendees weren’t informed about the film beforehand, which led many to exit prematurely due to their unfamiliarity with the content they were going to witness. The only hint given was that it was an unrated movie with a “holiday” theme. Little did we know that Terrifier 3 , though set during Christmas, far surpassed the usual cheer and warmth associated with holiday stories in terms of sheer terror and gore.

Although it’s uncertain if anyone fell ill, there were certainly exits due to the fact that not everyone enjoys horror movies (the first 10 minutes are quite gruesome).
It’s intriguing to learn about a Redditor’s take on an upcoming horror film, as reported incidents involve audience members either vomiting or leaving the theater upon viewing it. The LAD Bible reported that nine people departed from the initial U.K. screening of this horror movie. Despite the frequency of such occurrences being debated, Bloody Disgusting mentioned that the Classification Committee in France has deemed that minors are not permitted to watch Terrifier 3. Some argue that the film could benefit from less blood, but fans accustomed to this genre find nothing objectionable about it. Furthermore, many fans claim that if they’re acquainted with the Terrifier franchise, they won’t be taken aback by the film’s gory scenes in the theater.
Similar to the two preceding films, it is Damien Leone who both wrote and directed Terrifier 3, which is set for release on October 11th, 2024. Given that a Terrifier 4 has been confirmed, we’ll see if audience exits from screenings of this forthcoming movie become a recurring theme as well.
