It can be frustrating when animals spot you and run away while hunting in Crimson Desert. Running after them across the fields to gather resources for cooking or improving your equipment takes a lot of effort. Luckily, there’s an easy solution: wearing a Reindeer Disguise. This disguise hides Kliff from animals, letting you hunt peacefully without scaring them away.

How to Get the Reindeer Clock (Deer Disguise) in Crimson Desert

You can find the Reindeer Cloak, which lets you disguise yourself as a deer, in Crimson Desert near Lake Kharonso, within the Scholastone Institute. This area is southwest of Hernand City, and you’ll be taken there automatically during Chapter 4 as part of the main quest, “Gate to the Otherworld”.

Go west of Lake Kharonso and you’ll find a large cave inhabited by both trolls and scholars. Once inside, turn left and follow the winding staircase upwards until you reach the outside area at the top of the cave.

Once you reach the top of the stairs, you’ll see a glowing wall. You need to destroy it using the Focused Force Palm ability, but be sure to do so from a safe distance to avoid the electric shock from the Abyss Cell it leaves behind.

Once inside the cave in Crimson Desert, you’ll discover a treasure chest beside the wall. Opening it will reward you with the Reindeer Cloak, letting you disguise yourself as a deer. The chest also includes a Refined Palmar Pill, which instantly restores your health to full.

When you’re hunting, just put on the Reindeer Cloak and avoid sudden movements around herds of animals. This will help you blend in and prevent your prey from escaping. It even lets you hunt animals up close with weapons, though making too much noise might scare away nearby creatures.

The Reindeer Disguise in Crimson Desert offers strong early-game frost protection with its Level 5 Ice Protection, making it the best choice for staying warm at the beginning of your adventure.
