Remedy Entertainment Gives Update On All Of Its Games

As a die-hard fan of Remedy Entertainment, it’s always thrilling to hear updates about their upcoming games! The progress of Alan Wake 2 is particularly exciting, with most of its development and marketing costs recouped since its release. Although it hasn’t started generating royalties yet, I’m confident that it will be a blockbuster hit!

On November 1, Remedy Entertainment shared updates about their ongoing game projects with both enthusiasts and financial backers, as detailed in their latest earnings report.

As a dedicated gamer, I’ve got to say, I’m thrilled about the success story of Alan Wake 2. From the moment it hit the shelves, it’s clear that the developers have recouped most, if not all, of their development and marketing expenses. It’s a fantastic feeling to see such a captivating game receive its due recognition!

As per Tero Vaila, the company’s CEO, Alan Wake 2 hasn’t produced any earnings (royalties) yet. However, the studio did release The Lake House extension on October 22, marking the completion of additional content plans for the game.

What About The Other Remedy Entertainment Games?

After wrapping up Alan Wake 2, Remedy Entertainment is now pouring its energies into several ongoing internal projects. Specifically, “FBC: Firebreak,” previously known as Project Condor within the studio, is moving ahead full steam with a priority on refining the core gameplay and incorporating additional user interface enhancements based on playtesting insights to boost player understanding.

Firebreak, set to debut in 2025, is planned for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and personal computers. This game will simultaneously launch on Xbox Game Pass and the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for both Extra and Premium subscribers. Remedy Entertainment will independently publish this title, which falls under the category of a moderately priced game.

In other locations, we’re keeping Control 2 in a state of being ready for mass production, with the intention of officially starting full production in 2025.

Virtala stated that several key aspects of the game have been developed to reduce potential risks during production, and these processes are now undergoing testing before we move forward with full-scale production.

To wrap things up, the remake of Max Payne 1 & 2 is still in active development without any confirmed news about its potential launch date yet.
