Remnant 2 Is Adding Long-Requested Feature with The Dark Horizon

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent navigating through labyrinthine menus and inventory systems, I can confidently say that Gunfire Games’ decision to add an item filter to Remnant 2 is nothing short of a godsend. The sheer volume of loot in this game has always been both its strength and its Achilles’ heel, and the addition of an item filter will undoubtedly streamline my quest for that elusive perfect gear set.

The highly acclaimed third-person shooter/soulslike blend from Gunfire Games, titled Remnant 2, is preparing for the launch of its final DLC, The Dark Horizon, on September 24th. Building upon the positive changes that the earlier two DLC expansions brought to Remnant 2, The Dark Horizon serves as a fulfilling end to the game by unveiling the largest new area yet, a fresh character type, and numerous enhancements to the game’s progression economy and user interface. Many of the updates to the core systems are accessible for all players even if they don’t buy the DLC, including the introduction of Remnant 2‘s most requested feature: an item filter.

In a sneak peek session for The Dark Horizon, two key designers from Gunfire Games, who are working on Remnant 2, shared that a significant number of players have been asking for an item sorting feature to be added to the game. With Remnant 2 being known for its generous loot drops and unique attributes, sorting through everything can get quite tedious. The upcoming free update will include this long-awaited item filter, making it easier for players to manage their inventory. This addition complements the revamped Relic Fragment system and user interface in Remnant 2.

Remnant 2’s Update Arriving With The Dark Horizon DLC Brings a Slew of Requested Changes

Players have been clamoring for an item filter in Remnant 2’s menus and interface, but along with this highly anticipated change comes a host of other gameplay adjustments as part of The Dark Horizon launch and the massive free update for Remnant 2. A significant revamp to the user interface is also taking place through the overhauled Relic Fragment system and screen, which encompasses changes to the number of accessible Fragments and the introduction of the new endgame Prism system. With Remnant 2 showering players with a wealth of gear, sorting through it will now be more manageable than ever before.

In addition to the system improvements in “Remnant 2”, the game will also introduce a free Boss Rush mode as an extra feature. This new mode allows players to engage with the DLC bosses (only available for those who buy The Dark Horizon), but all of the base game bosses from “Remnant 2” can be fought in a series of challenging battles, similar to a gauntlet or deathmatch. As a result, players will have increased chances to acquire loot, and there will even be a filter for sorting loot as well.

Still, for the many players who have requested it since launch, the addition of an item filter to Remnant 2‘s menu and equipment screens is a major boon. Players will now be able to sort through their gear using a wide variety of filters, including sorting by equipment type, rarity, or even bonuses like critical chance. Taken as a whole, The Dark Horizon represents a full-circle moment for Remnant 2, delivering a major improvement to many of the game’s core elements while also bringing players the most ambitious and content-rich of the game’s DLC expansions.
