As a seasoned gamer with thousands of hours under my belt, I’ve seen my fair share of challenging quests and intricate stories. But Remnant 2‘s mission to save the Drzyr from extinction in the desolate world of N’erud stands out as one of the most captivating and elusive adventures I’ve ever embarked on.
In the sequel to “Remnant,” titled “Remnant 2,” the primary quest leads players through various universes, with unique narratives that converge around a common objective: putting an end to the menace known as The Root forever. One of these realms is N’erud, an otherworldly, science-fiction wasteland teetering on the brink of destruction.
In one version of the storyline on this planet, players are given a crucial mission by a mysterious, disembodied voice: saving the Drzyr race from extinction by locating a canister filled with Soul Sparks, the only remaining essence of their fading civilization. This may seem straightforward, but as is often the case in “Remnant 2,” nothing comes easily.
Remnant 2 Soul Sparks Location
- Reach the second open region of N’Erud.
- Find a vault leading underground.
- Grab the Soul Sparks canister.
- Return to the prison.
Players should initially locate the second open zone in N’erud by completing the initial dungeon they stumble upon following their prison escape. The specific locations of these areas can differ from one gameplay session to another. Despite extensive playtime of up to 400 hours in “Remnant 2,” not all players have experienced every aspect of the game, meaning some may encounter unique challenges while searching for Soul Sparks compared to others.
As a gamer, I’ve come to realize that the elusive Soul Sparks I seek are not tucked away in any of the dungeons scattered throughout the second area. Instead, they’re hidden in a pyramid-like vault, nestled deep within the toxic desert. During our mission, we stumbled upon the container behind an airlock door, reminiscent of those found within the prison walls. To obtain it, we had to enter the facility and snatch the Soul Spark canister from the main chamber. This action often triggered a horde of zombies to appear – time to put my combat skills to the test and wipe them out before the exit door becomes accessible once more.
In the second open space of N’Erud, there could be several entrances to the vaults. Identify the correct one by looking for nearby lights that shine yellow.
Discovering the Soul Sparks may seem simple, but the challenging conditions of N’Erud make it difficult. The area’s poor visibility and identical looking sand dunes hinder the process of locating the correct subterranean bunker. Furthermore, the map of N’Erud is tough to decipher due to the absence of distinct borders, making it harder to identify areas shrouded in fog of war.
For beginners in “Remnant 2,” locating the ideal bunker can be quite a challenge due to the game’s exploration mechanics being unfamiliar. Try examining the vicinity around dungeon entrances or dart along the edge of the death fog to potentially reveal hidden sections of the map. The Explorer class in “Remnant 2” is most effective for this stage of the campaign thanks to its enhanced movement speed and navigation perks.
Once you’ve located the Soul Sparks container, make your way back to the prison and engage the enigmatic character hidden behind the pane of glass in conversation. If the Custodian is a part of your game, you can also chat with him for an alternate conclusion.
