This thrilling cyberpunk action platformer, with its unique 2.5D visuals, has been a long-awaited gem ever since its unveiling in 2021. Though we may have to wait until 2025 for the full release, the team has generously shared some tantalizing updates on its estimated arrival.
REPLACED Eyes Spring 2026 Release With New Development Update, Final Trailer This Year
In a clip from IGN, the crew at Sad Cat Studios, along with publisher Thunderful Games, detail various enhancements made since their last update. According to them, the game, formerly referred to as REPLACED, is nearly complete but will not meet its intended 2025 launch date. The team concluded the video by revealing that the game will be released in Spring 2026 instead.
In a statement from game director Yura Zhdanovich, provided via a press release, he says,
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that we’ve been working tirelessly to bring you the much-anticipated game – REPLACED. I understand the wait has been longer than expected and for that, I sincerely apologize. Our commitment to this project has always been about providing an exceptional gaming experience for you all. The exciting news is that we’re almost at the finish line with production and REPLACED is on track to launch on PC and Xbox Series X|S in spring 2026. I can’t wait for us to embark on this journey together!
