In the game known as “REPO“, failure in a mission results in losing all progress made for that particular run. That’s why it’s wise to have your saved files securely backed up as a precaution. Though REPO has an autosave function that saves when you re-enter the Service Station or begin a fresh level, manually backing up your save gives you the ability to revert to a previous state if an issue arises. This tutorial will show you how to locate and back up your “REPO” save files on a PC.
REPO Save File Location
The backup files for the REPO can be found within a concealed folder hidden inside your Windows user account. Here are a couple of methods to access it:
Using File Explorer
- Press Win + E to open File Explorer.
- In the address bar at the top, paste the following path and press Enter: C:UsersYourUsernameAppDataLocalLowsemiworkReposaves

- Press Win + R to open the Run dialog.
- Type %USERPROFILE%/AppData/LocalLow/semiwork/Repo
- Click OK. This will take you to the “Repo” folder. Inside, you’ll find a “saves” folder.
In the ‘saves’ folder, you’ll find one or more folders labeled as ‘REPO_SAVE_XXXXXXX‘, each representing a distinct save game. If you have multiple saves (for instance, from separate playthroughs or if you’ve started a new game), you can identify them by their creation date, level achieved, time spent playing, and total earnings when you open them within the game.
How To Back Up REPO Save Files in REPO
Once you’ve found the save file you want to back up, follow the steps below:
- Right-click on the save file folder you want to back up and select “Copy.”
- Next, paste the copied folder to a safe location on your computer or an external hard drive.
- Rename the copied folder to include the date and add “_backup” at the end, so you know exactly what it is.
How To Restore Your REPO Save Files
Should your game progress get damaged, or if you find yourself needing to return to an earlier stage (a previously stored successful save point), follow these steps for restoration:
1. Navigate to the game’s settings or options menu.
2. Locate the ‘Load Game’ or ‘Restore Save Point’ option.
3. Scroll through the available save points and select the one you wish to return to.
4. Confirm your choice by clicking ‘Load’ or similar button, depending on the game interface.
5. Your game will now revert to the selected save point, and you should find yourself back at the earlier stage of progress.
- Close REPO completely.
- Go back to the C:Users\AppDataLocalLowsemiworkReposaves folder.
- Delete the existing corrupted or unwanted save file folder (the one without “_backup” or your custom naming).
- Copy your backed-up save file folder from your backup location.
- Paste it into the C:Users\AppDataLocalLowsemiworkReposaves folder.
- Launch REPO and you should see your restored save game available to load.
