REPORT: 100 Thieves To Build CDL ‘Superteam’ Based on Scrap and HyDra

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of Call of Duty under my belt, the potential ‘superteam’ formed by 100 Thieves for the upcoming CDL season has me absolutely thrilled! The prospect of seeing HyDra, Scrap, Envoy, and Ghosty on the same team is enough to make any CoD enthusiast’s heart race.

100 Thieves, known as LA Thieves in Call of Duty League, is reportedly planning to create a top-tier team, or “superteam,” for the upcoming season. According to Breaking Point’s report, players HyDra, Envoy, Scrap, and Ghosty are said to be considering this opportunity prior to the CDL 2025 season.

The Mightiest

According to a report shared on social media by Breaking Point, there’s excitement brewing as Toronto Ultra’s Scrap and Cloud9’s HyDra are looking forward to joining forces for the upcoming season. Additionally, it has been suggested that Envoy (Ultra) and Ghosty, currently with LA Thieves, might fill the last two spots on their team.

It’s clear that this team could easily be considered one of the most ruthless powerhouses in the Call of Duty League.

As a die-hard gaming enthusiast, I can’t help but acknowledge that HyDra is frequently hailed as one of the greatest Call of Duty players ever, not just for his raw skill, but also for his exceptional aim (gunny). The nickname “French Phenom” isn’t bestowed lightly, and during the 2023 season, he truly lived up to it. His contributions were pivotal in leading the New York Subliners to victory in two Majors and COD Champs.

2023 saw Thomas ‘Scrap’ Ernst clinch Rookie of the Year, subsequently establishing himself as a formidable competitor and consistently racking up impressive ratings among professional Call of Duty players. Known for his fiery demeanor, he has garnered significant fan adoration.

Representing two outstanding players often referred to as ‘The Prince’ (Envoy) and ‘Ghosty’, both are highly sought-after talents within the CDL. The duo, Envoy and Scrap, have formed an alliance that lasts a year, providing them with a strong team chemistry. Meanwhile, Ghosty has shown consistent excellence in his role as In-Game Leader (IGL) for quite some time.

There are a couple of obstacles to consider. Firstly, according to Breaking Point, the financial aspect of this move could be quite difficult, if not impossible. Secondly, it would necessitate multiple acquisitions, some of which – such as HyDra and Scrap – may turn out to be quite expensive.

This is the reality of rostermania – you never know what’s going to happen next.
