Resident Evil Code Veronica Remake Will Reportedly be Announced Next Year, And Release in 2027
A well-known industry insider, Dusk Golem, has revealed details about upcoming remakes of Resident Evil Code Veronica and Resident Evil Zero. Dusk Golem previously accurately predicted that Leon would be a playable character in the Requiem remake – a prediction confirmed by a recent trailer at The Game Awards 2025. Now, they’ve shared information about when we can expect announcements and releases for these next remakes in the series.
A new post from Dusk Golem on X (formerly Twitter) suggests that Code Veronica might be announced in 2026 and released in 2027, with the Zero Remake planned for 2028. However, it’s important to remember that this isn’t official information and release dates are subject to change during development, so take it with a grain of salt.
I was so excited to hear back in October 2025 that a Resident Evil 0 Remake is actually happening! Apparently, it’s codenamed ‘Chamber,’ but we’ll have to wait until 2028 for that one.
